Mobile Pop Impressions Discrepancy

Hi guys,

i have tested mobile pop offers on many networks, i tried many LPs and on all of them i get twice as low clicks compared to what the pop network is showing me.

I host LPs on BeyondHosting. Tracking with Prosper202.
I have been advertising Mobile Adult campeigns, although with banner traffic, not pop, and didn't have problems with page load or click discrepancy.

On the screenshots below
propeller shows 1016 impression
prosper202 shows 346 clicks

What do you think might be a reason for such huge discrepancy in traffic?

Some discrepancy is normal, especially on POPs, but what you see is 1016 to 346 which is almost 60% loss, that's too much.

Did you try to run some speed tests? I'd like to see how much it takes for the landers to load. Maybe they are too heavy on graphics or you use some kind of external scripts on it that slow down the loading times?

Beyondhosting is solid, but you can still try to use a CDN and compare the results.

i tested with pingdom, and here is the thing
When the LP has alert box script, Pingdom shows very slow loading speed (although on my phone it still loads very quick)
When there is no alert box script, Pingdom shows very fast loading speed.

So i thought the alert box might be an issue, i removed it and run traffic again, the difference has narrowed but not by much.

Now i start to think maybe BeyongHosting cannot handle huge spikes in traffic that comes from propeller. Not sure though. But i cannot think of any other reason

I don't think beyond couldn't handle it, depending on your plan of course, but the operation itself (I mean the whole hosting company) surely doesn't have problems handling some spikes from propeller.

Did you test the speed by loading just the LP itself, or you used the proper campaign link? Maybe prosper takes longer to redirect? Never used that tracker so can't really say anything about it.

Did you try to talk with beyond support? They are usually very fast and they can definitely test the links for you and confirm whether there are some slowdowns in the process or not.

I do not think that alert box causes the slowdown, especially if its vanilla javascript.

I noticed similar thing with several tools, but I think it's just they inability to deal with these (aggressive) scripts.

Probably they bots don't hit enter on those alerts and therefore the long loadings?
