How to filter by carrier on PopAds?

Hi!

I launched a few campaigns today that were targeting specific carriers. I chose to run them on PopAds since we can filter for carriers there, so for exemple in Brazil I wanted to target carriers: Vivo, Claro and Tim, so I did the following in PopAds:

Name:	pop1.jpg
Views:	41
Size:	42.2 KB
ID:	13176

However looking at the stats into Voluum, here is the result ...

Name:	Pop2.jpg
Views:	39
Size:	83.3 KB
ID:	13177

Name:	pop3.jpg
Views:	36
Size:	64.0 KB
ID:	13178
So do I have to do the opposite? Keep the targeted carriers into the left column?
That sounds like a silly question but the results are confusing ...

Hey,

You should use the PopAds URL token as a custom variable in Voluum.

https://www.popads.net/kb/advertiser

I think Voluum has a working template for PopAds already so give it a go. You will then check for the variable that is ISP Name.

Whenever possible, use the traffic source's reporting. It will be easier to work with the data, since you can cut EXACTLY what they give you.

Cheers,
Manu.

Thank you, I did just add this token to my campaign URL. I now see this into Voluum for my past campaign.

But I guess it should show what's the ISP name in my future campaigns?

Don't forget to change the PopAds campaign link to!

But yes, it should show in future campaigns.

Thanks a lot in the future I will be able to see more clearly.
However, if I want to target certain carriers, the logic would say I move them to the right, right?

Go to the campaign in Popads and then to Connection Targeting, you are going to see "Connection types" first, check only "Celluar" if you only want to get 2g/3g/4g traffic for those carriers. Expect the bids to go high when doing this. Also, Voluum has already a template for Popads, no need to add anything more.

Correct.

Yeah, using the tokens from TS is the way to go.

PopAds this year added a bunch of useful tokens, so use them to your advantage!

You have much more variables at your fingerprints to optimise.
