Hi guys,
I'm looking to source mobile content/entertainment landers for Pops. I'd like to run traffic in Asia to things like Adult Entertainment Pin Submits, Game Pin Submits, and General Video Content Pin Submits.
Upon searching via Adplexity by keywords (like "video" "watch" "play" and "game"), I'm finding a lot of options, but I'd say the majority are direct linked offer pages (as they actually have the offer info on the pages, and sometimes have submit fields for phone numbers for MO flow).
I've run these offers with Mobile Display using DL/Play banners and had mediocre results with Direct Linking, but you are relying on mistaken user intent (they sign up thinking that they are getting content from the original site) and the only avenues for optimization are to cut placements/traffic segments/banners. I'm looking for Landers I can use to generate real user intent to convert for the offer.
There seem to be enough out there for the adult offers, but I'm wondering how I can use adplexity to find more for Games/Mainstream video. Does anyone have any tips?
i have been looking for similar landers myself since i am currently running on pops
but only seem to see direct linked pages on adplexity.
is it possible that most of the people running these offers are hiding their landing pages?
or are they actually direct linking?
I'm sure some guys are hiding their LPs with cloaking tools, but many people actually run these offers direct-linked. It's one of the last verticals where it's still possible to turn profit without a landing page. But as justintime8888 mentioned, this is indeed about mistaken user intent in the most cases. I have run these with an LP too, with better results, you need to figure out how to make surfers interested so much that they cannot stop and keep on clicking
It is definitely a good idea to test LPs too.
BTW : adplexity or any other spytool isn't "perfect" - try to check periodically, check bigger date frames, try searching for other keywords or don't search at all and spend some time by browsing the DB... you might find a hidden gem
A good strategy can be testing broad without a LP at first and once you got some placements that show promise, throw in some LPs to see if they can help the conversions. I'm suggesting to find promising placements first, because I assume you don't have proven LPs yet and since these offers can convert without them, you will actually kill 2 birds with 1 stone - you will see what placements are good and you will know that when testing LPs with these placements in the second step, you don't have to worry about low quality placements skewing up your data. Once you have proven landers from this test, you can use them straight away with new sources/placements.
so basically once you find placements that are converting direct link,
create a white list campaign with these placements to test landers with the offer...
and once you find landers that convert better than direct linking
test them in a ron campaign again.
I would follow Matuloo's strategy:
1. Take the broad ones you've found and start testing placements
2. Knock off the shitty placements
3. Start testing your top placements with new landing pages you've created yourself that fit those big placements a bit better, there's so many small & easy adjustments to make to landers based on the placements (themes, ios/android buttons, sounds, urgency tactics).
