Hi everybody,
I hope that you are doing great. Before reading I need to mention that I'm very new to this and no experience at all.
I've been since a year looking seriously for making money online, I found finally AM which is in my mind the best field on stacking some money online.
I've been reading a lot of threads about it, I was amazed about it is potential, until one of my FB friends suggest to not get in AM untill I get STM subscription to boost my start in AM.
It has been 6 days since I subscribed and Wow I was amazed by the content and the efforts that you moderators make to help members, this has lead me to make a decision, if I will continue in AM, I will never ever cancel my subscription.
I was very dispointed reading follow alongs and how a lot of members have left them without gaining profits.
I know you will say it is not for weak people but you need to know about my situation, my family (father, mother and 6 brothers) depend on me (on the bright side it motivates me):

Also, I need to be realistic and I will let you know things about me:
Upsides
I can work more than 8 hours on this AM everyday and more than 12 hours in weekends 7/7.
I can learn
Good at photoshop
Good at server management
I think that I have all skills that AM needs but I need to polish them more.
I'm serious about it because it is the only solution that I have to my situation
My main goal is 50$ to 100$ per day if I can achieve this it will change my life due to the cheap life here
DOWNSIDES
I can't spend more than 4k on this because it is all what I have, me and my friend.
I don't have any background on marketing.

Today I decided to read Follow alongs in mobile section, I was amazed and dispointed because the majority of members have left their campaigns and AM.
This had have an impact on my motivation and let me think that AM is for gurus and not for newbies like me, I know it is early to judge and be demotivated but why people are leaving?

I hope that you can give me answers and if 4k can lead me to my goal.

Nice to see your topic here!

It's so good that you have a lot of motivation. And you can achieve your goal very fast if you'll follow STMer's tips and read good materials there. I think your budget (4k) is good for start. Don't demotivate and don't give up!

I recommend you to start with POP-traffic and Pin-Submit offers or Sweepstakes.

In this case you gotta think about it well, because no one gives you 100% guarantee that won't lose your money. It's a business. But if you'll follow STM's tips, you'll get a good result Don't try a lot of verticals, networks etc.. Just concentrate on 1-2.

Well, for thinking I see already that AM is best thing online at least in my opinion.
For the guarantee, I totally agree, if someone give me a 100% guarantee I will highly doubt it because life don't work like that.
For the verticals till now I didn't decide between sweeps or pin submits.
Network I'm waiting the approval from F5 Media hope that they will do.
I pend 350 dollars on STM, Voluum and adplexity.
My plan is to assign 1650$ for testing on tier 3 countries till I get green color
Then I will pump the other 2K hoping that I achieve the ROI...

That is a very good way! I recommend to start with Popads or Propellerads - they have a good quality of traffic and newbies-friendly.

Hi ramitk - welcome to STM!

mrbraun has given you a lot of wise advice already. Your plan sounds good - tier 3 geos + low-payout offers would be the best way to start.

I never like to think negatively, but seeing as your entire family is depending on you financially, it would be wise to have a Plan B in case AM doesn't work out for you after the 4k is spent. Having no backup plan and relying 100% on making AM work would be incredibly stressful. That kind of stress will negatively impact on your chances of success - you'll be prone to making bad decisions when managing campaigns, based on emotions.


As for the follow-alongs and why some people have left:

1)As for every type of make-money-online opportunity, there will always be those that just dabble in it, lose some money, get scared and give up. Or their current financial situation just doesn't allow them to spend money until they learn to make money. So they either choose to give up or are forced to give up before they see success.

2)In some of the follow-alongs, very good advice was given by mods and other members, but the original poster did not choose to heed the advice. I'm not saying it's wrong to try different approaches - that is always encouraged. But I've seen some people keep running into the same problems and not getting desired results again and again, but were still reluctant to try out other people's suggestions. One's ego can so easily get in the way of one's success. Being humble will help.

3)Of some of the members that have started follow-alongs and abandoned them, the reason was because they started finding success and no longer wanted to divulge details about their campaign (for obvious reasons), and they felt they have gotten enough advice to continue on their own.


Also - I don't know where you've been looking, but there are many follow-alongs where members have succeeded in making profits. Here are just a few recent examples off the top of my head:

STM will shorten the learning curve for sure, but we're not a magic pill. The learning curve is steep, you WILL lose money at first while learning, and there are no guarantees you'll earn back your investment. But your friends are right in recommending STM - you'll stand a much better chance of succeeding at AM with all the information and advice available to you here.




It may also help to meet more people in the industry - once you meet a lot of successful people you'll be convinced that AM DOES work. Consider going to one of the Affiliate World Conferences:

Hey @ramitk,

I would like to add that in this case you should still have some side income coming, so you can fund your affiliate marketing campaigns.

$50-100/day is easily doable, but when you starting out it's always a bit harder to jump on and you will have to go through lot of testing and failing which is part of the game.

But once you still have some money coming in every month you can basically "play" for unlimited time until you crack it and find your winning campaigns.

Well, thank you very much for your reply Amy, let me tell you that this is an example of answers and replies that I expected for my subscription and this is the kind of supervision that I need for my journey. Thank you again.

I agree that nothing is guarantee and this is the truth.
I agree that AM is science and STM will shorten the way not cut it.

For the follow alongs I see that some people are achieving great results from small wise tweaks, I hope I will be that lucky.

Plan B is already here as mentionned before but I want to treat AM like the only and unqiue plan so i will succed or succed, maybe I will struggle, maybe I will fall but I will succed.
Being with you guys is giving me confidence and great company.

What I will do, reading some tutorials about making landing pages and hosting them, tracking using Voluum. Then I wil choose an offer and a geo.
In one week I hope that I will my follow along i hope that i will find you there in mobile section

Yes I have that some side income but it is very limited, i will be honest and tell you that I can't get more than 800 per month.
I agree that failing is part of game, but failing toooo much seems to be hard a little bit.

On the other hand, once you follow all the steps you learn here there should be a high chance that you never lose 100% of your money. Of course there will be those campaigns that will go "tits up", but many time you will be -50% ROI or so, that means another 50% of money is not lost. You just have to start slowly and control the flow of your cash.
