18 clicks, 0 conversions so far..

Hey guys

Launched my first campaign tonight..

After not being totally 100% - I think everything I setup is working as expected as I'm getting figures back through my tracker..

So I've got 600 Visits, and 18 clicks.. 0 conversions.

Is 18 clicks a unusually high number for 0 conversions? and can anyone tell what those figures are saying?

It seems my landing page must be ok if i'm getting those click throughs, but they're not converting.. could it be that my offer on the other side is not right?

I am running pin submit - a battery boosting type promotion.

To be honest I don't know what to expect and if those sort of numbers are what to expect on your first campaigns or is it a indication of a problem?

Thanks

18 clicks is not enough to draw any conclusion, it's too soon.

What kind of traffic was this, I guess POPs, am I right? I guess you bought 600 pops and sent them to a landing page, right? In case this was banner clicks, the situation is different again.

What GEO? How much did the traffic cost you. How much is the offer payout ...

In case you used LPs as I think you did, how many did you try?

Was this just one offers or several ones?

There is so much more data you can give us regarding this campaign, do it, oterwise we can't really give you any meaningful advice.

Hey

Yes they are Pops :-)

it's $15 traffic pops - directed to a landing page with a vertical to promote a battery saving app..

The geo is Ghana - I've only tried 1 landing page so far with this offer it was more of a test to get myself out there and to make sure that understanding of my setup is right - found myself holding back so I thought it would be easy to go in head first and see what falls out of it.

The offer payout is very low - $0.20.

So far as more traffic hits the pops:

That's 1089 hits, 38 clicks, and 0 conversions

I've targeted Android devices, and targeting 3 carriers..

Based on this my vertical must be OK but the offer its self must not be appealing? As they are clicking the referenced button on the landing page.

Thanks

Hello, day1stacker!

Did you spend $15 for just 1000 visits? OMG, it's too much! Normal CPM (cost per 1000 visits) for your GEO is $1-3. What source did you use?

Also I recommend you to set up to the split-test more landers (at least 3-5).

Why did you decide to test this offer? Because to be honest installs right now is not very simple vertical, especially your offer ($0.20 payout and competitive GEO). I recommend to try Pin-Submits on Ghana - they works very fine now

Hey day1stacker,

Congrats on the launching of your first campaign! Why did you select Ghana to begin with?

There could be a couple of reasons why you are not having success with the campaign:

1) Since it's a pin-submit offer, there could be tracking issues with the carriers.
2) This offer might not be a 'good' offer. Did your AM recommend you this?
3) The lander which you are using might be too 'friendly'. Lander CTR is too low @ 3.5% for such a geo.
4) What flow is the offer on? MO flow to these carriers Airtel/ MTN/ Vodafone?
5) Your payout of $0.20 is way too low!! Your network isn't being too kind to you. Even if you're able to get conversions, $0.20 will not get you profitable.

Let me know if you need more help and I would be more than glad to assist you!

Hi guys

I just checked and so far for 1200 views I've spent $3.45.

At the moment there are 28 clicks - seems a pretty low CTR right?

The offer was not recommended by my AM.

I think I should perhaps end this campaign and try a different offer.

Thanks for your help all!

Well... You can continue run this campaign and try to achieve a green ROI. But it's a big question: Do you need it? Of course, about 95% campaigns you can make green. But! It can be only 1 carrier, 1 os's version and 1 site - very short target. And I recommend you to try another offer/vertical/geo - to save your time and money!

You're giving up too soon, you got a number of suggestions and notes above, how many of them have you actually tried to use in some way? Want to try a different offer, ok, but based on what did you make this decisions?

It's quite possible that you picked a wrong offer, but make sure you actually give a proper try to the next one before moving on again

Get the offer stats from your AM to have a rough idea of how the offer is performing on the network.

Also out of 1,200 views, probably 70-80% of the traffic was coming from just 1-2 pubs.

If you haven't cut placements yet, I'd definitely recommend doing that before giving up on the offer.

Here's Vortex's guide to doing that, focused on pops in particular: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...Banners-Part-1
