Amazon s3 cdn no stylesheets

i cannot load the style sheets for a webpage
i changed the refrence links for the css files to that of the cointainer ... when i did this the style sheets were loading properly in dreamweaver .. but when i open index.html from the cointainer the style sheets dont load ...only basic html ... the index.html is updated with css links to in the cointainer ..
any suggestions

I'm not really sure but seems like you need to clear cash on your CDN

1. Tick the checkbox with the domain, press Distribution Settings
2. Invalidations -> Create Invalidation
3. Clear cache, enter ‘/*’ into the opened window and press Invalidate

before even creating the distubution , when i try to load the index.html from the cointainer itself just to check .... it doesnt load the style sheets

Did you set the bucket permissions to be public?

Javascript will work, PHP wont
