Question for VitaVee: What GEOs can I reach with a Server in Singapore?

Hi VitaVee,

I've got my FF server set up in Singapore and am currently running Phone Sweeps and Antivirus offers with Landers on a CDN via rackspace. I'd like to expand my focus to new GEOs in a radius around SEA. Vortex suggested I contact you and ask how far I could expect to still have a fast enough connected to properly run test/campaigns.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to hit East Africa, the Middle East/India, Australia, New Zealand, and Places in East Asia (South Korea, Japan, Taiwan).

I understand you have plenty of experience as an affiliate based on your Walkthrough videos, so I thought I'd ask how far I could expect to go while still being able to serve my Landing Pages quickly enough. Any advice or input is greatly appreciated

Until we get a response from vitavee, let me share my own experience with a self hosted tracker - it was the old cpvlab so obviously way less optimized than the current funnel flux. I hosted it on a server in US and ran campaigns from europe, through asia all the way to US and Canada and I didn't face any problems. Speed is important, but chasing milliseconds is a waste of time, there are way more important factors in the optimization process

I've set up a few FF instances to cover all major continents, and fully agree with Matuloo: when I accidently ran a mobile pops campaign through a server that is completely on the opposite part of the globe, the campaign was still in the green.

What I usually say when I'm being asked this question is the closer the better. However, I also add that I know several affiliates using FF on one single server and running international mobile campaigns profitably.

I ran some tests not long ago, with an FF server in New York. I setup the same campaign on FF and Voluum and ran traffic from Frankfurt. Voluum has instances in Frankfurt, so they couldn't be closer, while FF's server was 6k+ km away.

There was a speed difference, but FF was only 10% slower despite the distance. At equal distance FF is faster. If you can, it's better to have it closer, but it's probably not what will have the biggest effect on your ROI.
