Read on my friend, a solution might be comming. For running my own camps (and getting some peace of mind back), I created the last months an bot that is controlling and optimizing my campaigns.
My VAs hate that damn machine. Not much work left for them....lol
You might ask, what exactly can the machine do?
Functionality:
- Start / Stop of camps at certain times or when hitting certain performance KPIs
- Increasing bids (Time / KPIs as trigger)
- Increasing / Decreasing budget (Time / KPIs as trigger)
- Blacklisting widgets / placements or removing widgets from whitelist (KPIs as trigger)
- Split testing of creatives (KPIs as trigger)
- Pausing Channels (Time / KPIs as trigger)

The bot works with simple user pre-defined rules and has an beautiful web-based interface.
Example for a rule: If widget loss equal or bigger 30$ then blacklist widget. All rules can be freely defined.
Sounds like a lot of work? Couldn't be further from the truth. 4-5 mouse clicks is all it takes.
Currently thinking about making an SAAS out of my little money making machine.
