When Is It the Right Time to Burn the Bridges?

Hi guys,

Lately, I have been debating with myself to switch from SEO to paid traffic.

I'm not making a lot of money with SEO but it's quite OK in a place I live with rent, food, gym, groceries for less than $400 a month.

I'm in a point where I'm getting around $300-400 profit/day. My initial plan was do SEO for a little until I saved like 10K to move to paid traffic.

However, I think I have saved more than that to a point where it is hard to make the decision to do something else and play with bigger numbers.

So I would like to have your opinions on when should it be a right time to move to new venture, and how would you go about it in my situation?

I'm here for the money and I will sacrifice to learn whatever it takes to get there.

Thanks

Hey Roy,

are you making money from SEO by doing consulting or the money is coming from sites that you built?

In the first case it would be a bi decision as you would need to cut your clients or outsource them to someone else, so the move could be a bit harder.

However if you built sites and they are making you these 300-400/day I think you are in a good position to start playing with the fire ie. paid traffic.

I would still maintain the sites and give them maybe 30-40% of your time and use the rest 60-70% to learning paid traffic.

Once you see it's starting to show potential you could raise the time you devote to paid traffic and decrease the time for SEO.

This way you would not really burn any bridge and still have chance to go back if the paid game will not work out for you.

I wish you good luck in your decision!

I agree with Erik 100%, having a side income is absolutely amazing when starting with paid traffic - less stress, more time and peace of mind to properly analyze data etc ... if you really plan to dive into paid traffic, do it now while the SEO money still flows at such a good rate. And in case you can keep both businesses running side by side, even better for you. It's always wise NOT to put all your eggs into one basket
