Should I create a follow-along or do the 6WAMC?

Hey Guys,

Pretty new here. Coding for a while. Created a few AdSense sites and drove traffic to it via SEO and content sharing in the past. Want to get into performance marketing now.

I'm comfortable with domain and VPS setup etc. Never installed a tracker or did any analysis of stats, optimization or split testing, but when I see videos posted here for setting up Voluum, it doesn't look complicated.

Creating banners might be something I need to go back to (used to do DTP and design work back in the days). Landers both static and dynamic should not be an issue, given that I'm very familiar with HTML, CSS, JS and backend code.

Here's the deal... I want to get my hands dirty to learn.

1. Should I create a follow-along and have you guys guide me?
2. Do the 6WAMC - will it help? Would love to hear from past students and not just the guys conducting the course.

Thanks

First of all - welcome to STM!

A part of the 6WAMC will be on how to do the technical stuff, but a large part of it will be on how to set up and optimize camps. So if you're new to performance marketing, then the course will drastically shorten the learning curve for you.

You're right - anyone can figure out tracking, and it would probably be relatively easy for a technically-inclined person like yourself. But like with everything else, figuring it out will take time, and probably some trial and error. The course vids will go over how to do it step-by-step to save you time and headache.

A couple of past students have provided some feedback on the course which you may find useful:

Of course you'd be more than welcomed to post a follow-along as well! But I find that most follow-alongs started by newbies do not get much feedback from normal members in general - we moderators will be sure to provide guidance every step of the way to the best of our abilities though. So you'll definitely be taken care of!

What you won't get from a follow-along that you will from the AMC, are:

1)A definite direction. e.g. Run THESE offers on THESE traffic sources. This is how you set up tracking and hosting and CDN. This is how you set up camps on the tracker and the traffic source. You're never left wondering "what do I do next?" The offers we recommend for you to run will convert so that you'll get the conversions you need to learn optimization.

2)Experienced teachers that will be available almost around the clock to answer your questions. No waiting for hours for the community to reply to your forum post.

3)The opportunity to network with other students. When you don't have any experience, being able to work with other people and learn together can be very motivating. Compared to just working through a course by yourself, or groping in the dark on your own, working together will often create a synergy that is beneficial to all.

I'll stop touting the benefits of the course now. I never hard-sell anything, but having been both a student and now a teaching assistant, I can proudly say that this is the most value-packed course I have seen, ever. And I have purchased some pretty expensive courses over the past decade I've been in online marketing.

I'll let the others chime in now.

With your stated familiarity of the fundamentals needed , I'd suggest you go straight to a follow along , skip the 6Wamc and use the money to collect data.

I would say that these ARE the fundamentals.

I was one of the students of the last 6WAMC, even that i already had more than a year of experience working in performance marketing. The course covers everything you will ever need to be successful in the field. It really changed my numbers, and i know other students that did six figure earnings since the first months after the course.

Well, I know @hlyghst is the one who has been really successful at this, post 6WAMC, but there's no denying that one needs to continue to apply the knowledge and keep grinding and keep buying data and refining campaigns to be successful at this and that is the phase I'm more concerned about and need to spend my dollars wisely.

spending your $$$ on the AMC course is like investing in a good degree in college.

if you have the money and you thinking of it well..... there is no really a question. SIGN.
the knowledge you will gain along with new connections and close help from the AMC team will generate much more value to you than any follow along or campaign.

few affiliates i know that have already generated more than $100K are also joining this course so it shows you that this course can teach a lot of new stuff even to established affiliates and not only for Newbies,

but this is how i see things the decision is yours, and taking this should be at 100% commitment if you chose to take it or not.

If you can afford it, 6WAMC no question.
