Start with some affiliate program of SaaS (4)

Hi, I'm new and this is my first post, I'm reading here from some days. A lot of great info, Thank you!

Because I need to learn facebook ads also for my "first job" I think that I will start with facebook as traffic source.
I have read a lot and now I would like to make some tests, because I think that yes, this is very important.

Now I'm searching a good vertical to start.
I know that usually the first thing is to join some networks but I have seen that a lot of SaaS have an affiliate program and some time the payout seems very good.
My question is: this can be a good choice to start or a totally waste of time and money?
In this way I don't need to join a network to start and I can do what I want to learn, also the banners are usually already done.

In these days I never seen posts or technique about this, so I just want to ask.
I have seen some good payout from these affiliate program but maybe is very very hard to convert or maybe is just not possible to do on facebook.

Hey Man. Being an affiliate for SAAS can be profitable yes although most of the times you will need to build an email list, nurture them and then sell them.

I've seen affiliates make thousands per month promoting emails marketing SAAS for example like aweber and getresponse. Most of the times they are not media buyers though , they have blogs and big email lists.
