I'm about to launch a campaign targeting European countries. My traffic source is Go2Mobi but I don't believe it provides bid suggestions/ranges (or am I missing something?). How would you suggest I go about setting my bid at the start of my testing?
They do offer automatic biding, but that will almost always cost you more than needed.
People have different methods when it comes to bidding, you might start with one that I'm using pretty often : bid low first, let's say 10 cents CPM and see what happens. In case traffic doesn't start, drive the bid up by 10%, wait an hour and repeat if needed. Once the clicks start flowing, analyze the performance and look for placements that have very low CTRs (cut those early). Once you blocked placements with the worst CTR (only cut really bad ones here) start testing staggered bids to determine what bid level gives you the most bank for your buck - the highest ROI. Then you can keep running that and optimize other factors.
Thanks matuloo, you're awesome.
