Hi Anand! Welcome to STM!

I would highly recommend that you start by reading everything in these two sections:

http://stmforum.com/forum/forumdispl...nboarding-Zone

You'll need to decide which traffic type you want to go into first. IMO pop traffic is the easiest for newbies to learn, but performance is very inconsistent and it's hard to consistently make high profits. Mobile display traffic is more stable than pop when it comes to performance, and doesn't take a lot of budget to learn (compared to native and FB). Native and FB have great profit potential, but will require higher budget to learn. You can read some of the major threads in each of the various traffic type sections to get a feel of what they're like:

http://stmforum.com/forum/forumdispl...raffic-Sources

You can also read some of the recent follow-along threads within the traffic type forum sections above to learn more.

As for affiliate networks - there's a list of newbie-friendly networks at the end of this thread (also note the valuable tips in the thread on how to get into networks):

Spend a few days on reading threads and taking notes. Pick a traffic type and a vertical, set up the infrastructure (hosting, CDN, tracker) and just launch your first campaign and go from there. Don't spend weeks just reading posts on STM! Get some practical experience, and search for answers when you have questions (or start new threads to ask them if you can't find the answer in existing threads). When you have some experience, THEN read some more, you'll understand what you read so much better.

You can also consider starting a follow-along thread to get feedback and suggestions from the community. Many new members have found that to be worthwhile.

Best of luck!

Amy
