Inflated Clicks?
Hi guys,
I was looking at my Voluum stats for a campaign I was running and I am seeing about 1.5-2x the amount of clicks than what the network shows? Are clicks getting filtered? Is this crap traffic?
Thanks!

Some networks show less clicks than they actually send because they don't count duplicate, fraudulent, artificial etc ... clicks but Voluum will catch them all. Another frequent reason is some back-button, or other redirect script, that sends the traffic to the same Voluum campaign.

To reiterate what matuloo said, for my BBR I always run it to a separate campaign. Also, depending on what tracker you use...I have bot and geo-filters setup in Thrive. Usually filter for any non isps/bots/ or users that have Javascript disabled. Should provide a cleaner view of what your numbers are. I also have my assistant take that report and send to my traffic sources for refunds at the end of each week (may be daily if there is a large percentage of duplicate ips/ip blocks relative to clean spend).

Thanks, guys! I kind of figured it was something iffy. Mrmarketer: what is BBR? Back Button Redirect? Thanks! Also, this was PPV traffic. I definitely gotta look into bot filtering etc.

Yup, BBR as back button redirect - it's always a good idea to send this traffic to a different cmapaign so it doesn't mess with the original campaign's data
