Old Pixel influences Campaign Optimisation?

Hi,

We still have the pixel of an recently banned account on our pages, which has a huge retargeting audience from years of WH FB.

Now we use a new account, but still have the old pixel on the sites..We do this because I think FB might still use the old data to optimize for our new campaigns.

Does that make sense or can I just kick off the old pixel and get a new one in? I can't use the old pixel, since it belongs to the banned account and cant export, so we are missing out on retargeting options for now.

Thanks a ton

Don't matter after Feb you cant use the old pixel anymore. Might as well spend some time to collect new data for new pixel

Hi,

Yeah maybe on one of the smaller sites. Whats up with the pixel? There is a new one coming again?

Cheers

Had the same thing happen. We were lucky though, I guess, in that we could still share the pixel with other accounts and share the lookalike audiences we had created.

We kept the old pixel on the page and had the new pixel on there as well. We optimized for conversions using the old pixel and then waited until we had built up enough with the new pixel to switch over and use that now for conversion campaigns. I still have that old pixel on there, but I just wanted to get future campaigns on the new pixel because of the switch. It did work though to answer your question.
