Where are the real offers??? (13)

Where are the real offers???

why affiliate marketing is flooded with scam offers ?!

whenever I try to find a good offer to promote I find it kind of a scam?

some might say the money in the scam or the too salesy offers, but the reason I am looking for real offers from reputable companies is that I want to be ethical and clear with customers in my approach to affiliate marketing and if it doesn't work this way then It's just not my thing.

I would really appreciate some guidance in this

and hope you all have a great great time <3 <3

I completely know what you mean about many offers being scams.

But you don't have to promote those - there are lots of offers that are perfectly legit. For example:

-Apps from the appstore/playstore

-Gaming offers

-Physical products with good consumer reviews

-Ebooks/software with good consumer reviews

-B2B products and services (again - those that have good reviews)

-Brand name products

What types of traffic are you running? And which verticals are you interested in? Knowing answers to these questions, I should be able to list more specific examples for you.

My traffic source is Facebook and I don't have specific vertical yet but I will go with the most suited for me out of my options.

But where can I find those affiliate programs that carry this kind of offers? Is there any solid network that mainly specialize in these kinds of offers?

Or how do you think I should approach it?

Thank you Amy

Ah Facebook!

Because FB allows for many targeting options, including gender, age, interests etc. - there's a wide variety of offer types you can promote there.

You'll really need to identify a vertical first, as there are probably a million (literally!) affiliate programs you can promote products from, to FB.

I'll just list a few general examples here - if you decide on a vertical let me know and I'll give you more specific examples.

-For apps and gaming offers: Clickdealer, Appflood, Affiliaxe, Tapgerine, Glispa....

-For ebooks: Clickbank

-For ecommerce and leadgen: Shareasale, Linkshare, Commission Junction, Maxbounty...

These are networks. In addition there are tons and tons of in-house affiliate programs for specific products and services.

The best approach would be to define your target audience first, figure out what kinds of products/services they'd be interested in, then doing research to find the best quality and most reputable products/services available, and THEN see which of those have affiliate programs and go from there.

Hey Amy, what kind of verticals would you suggest to someone who's using a mobile DSP traffic source?

If you want to go niche by targeting specific placements, then you could basically promote any product relevant to that niche. (Example: Promoting dating offers to dating apps/sites.) When you go niche, conversion rates tend to be better than when you go broad (generally speaking). The flip side is that unless you target big placements in big geos, there may not be enough traffic to worth bothering.

If you want to go broad by targeting all placements, then you need to make sure you're promoting offers that have broad-appeal, i.e. that the general audience would be interested in. Some examples:

-Entertainment (gaming, video, audio, wallpapers...)
-Sweepstakes
-Utility apps (browsers, battery savers, antivirus, privacy protectors...)

Good luck!

I see. How do I know if, going niche, a placement is suitable?

I hope it's not an obvious question but I've seen that you haven't included dating in this list. I have always thought that dating is a general vertical. I mean, everybody is interested in sex, love and relationship .

There are various simple due dilligence checks you can do (most notably position on the page - placements below the fold will convert worse), but usually the way to tell if a placement works is by testing it and seeing if you make some money

I have always thought that dating is a general vertical.
Yes, dating is definitely a general vertical. There are others, too - Vortex was just offering a few examples rather than a complete list.

Caurmen has answered your question. Just wanted to add that although dating IS a broad-appeal vertical, it's not as broad as sweeps or antivirus is. If you promote dating offers by targeting related sites and apps (e.g. dating membership sites/apps) you'll often get much higher conversion rates - because people that are already using a dating service are more likely to subscribe to additional ones compared to people that aren't.

As for deciding which placements to target - most mDSPs will reveal site/app names, so you can pick the ones you feel would be a good match for your offer type.

Very good points from Vortex. There's a reason that the hotbed of dating affiliates used to be Plenty Of Fish - a free dating site.

You CAN make money advertising dating on non-dating-related sites, but it's much harder, and will have a lower success rate.

Thanks guys, fantastic informations . I think this is a very important part of the game: placing your work in the right place (although it doesn't sound good ).

@Caurmen, being a newbie and fan and user of your appetiser method I'm working with Go2Mobi. Will it be possible to obtain the offer-placement targeting we are talking about?
