my AM asking about postback?? NEED HELP! (6)

You usually set postback yourself per offer. What your AM is trying to do is to help you to set it up globally, so you dont have to set it up manually in each offer.

If you are using Voluum your postback URL should be something like this:

Code:
http://xxx.trackvoluum.com/postback?cid=#s2#&payout=#price#
(CAKE system networks like Clickdealer, Yep Ads)

Code:
http://xxx.trackvoluum.com/postback?cid={aff_sub}&payout={payout}
(HasOffers system - networks like AppFlood, YeahMobi..)

Basically its always the same you just apply the correct tokens of your click ID and payout.

Also do not forget to replace "xxx" with your unique ID from Voluum.

@erikgyepes
isn't the Voluum postback link like this as below?
https://xxxxx.voluumtrk2.com/postbac...ce#&txid=#tid#

I'm working with Oasis. Somehow I still have problems tracking conversions for some of my offers with them.

Hello zenith and superlee1028,

tracking is a crucial part of any AM campaign, so make sure you understand it fully before moving on. This guide could help : http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-Read-This-Now

As Erik pointed out, postbacks can be handled on a per-offer basis, but in case you are using one tracker it's handy to setup a global postback that will work with all the offers from that network and you don't have to set it up again and again for every new offer.

There are 2 crucial moments in the process of tracking :

1. assigning a unique ID to every click (this is done by the tracker) and passing this ID on to the affiliate network
2. passing this unique click ID back to the tracker in case of a conversion (this is done by the aff network with the use of the postback)

You can use the examples Erik posted, let's take a look at the one for cake platforms.

http://xxx.trackvoluum.com/postback?...payout=#price# (replace XXX with your own Voluum identificator, you will find this link in the setup section)

Cake platforms work well with the s2 parameter, so use that one to pass the clickID to the network. You will do this by adding this at the end of your offer link when setting it up in Voluum : "&s2={clickid}"

If you make it this way, it should work.

@superlee1028 : Oasis uses cake so the link looks good, BUT

https://xxxxx.voluumtrk2.com/postback?cid=#s2#&payout=#price#&txid=#tid#

... you were missing one & in the url, maybe that's causing the link not to work.

Use this and you will never have tracking issue with any cake flatform:

http://xxxxx.voluumtrk2.com/postback...&txid=#leadid#

So what is the problem Zenith, let me know what you don't understand please, so we can assist you.

This postback should work fine with any CAKE based network :

http://xxxxx.voluumtrk2.com/postback...&txid=#leadid#

Just replace the XXXXX with your own Voluum "code". Then send this to your AM at the network you are using - he has to take care of it and set it as your global pixel.

What you have to do is to add "&s2={clickid}" at the end of the offer link when setting it up in Voluum - do not forget about this.

This should work just fine.

Thanks,
Matej.
