Today I got my very first conversion in Affiliate Marketing.

Man this feels GREAT!

I just signed up to STM this past weekend, I'm a pretty fast mover so I spent literally 48hours just searching around the forum learning everything that I could. Finally, I took the leap after reading the mobile cookbook. I was a little hesitant at first because I saw failed case studies from people that had no luck. But one thing I also learned from this forum is that you don't judge other peoples succes/failer to yours.

So, I got my offer up and let it rip! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention what type of offer it is, it's a email submit (I'm not hip to the cool CPA lingo yet but I think that's what you call it). The biggest thing that I picked up from this forum is that they're tons of affilates out there and 80% of them aren't coming up with unique angles. That's why I approached this whole journey making sure that I told myself that I'll be different from everyone else out there by spending the bulk of my time coming up with angles for offers. That's just what I did and after $20 in spend, I have my first conversion. Shows me that this stuff works if you stick to it, I'm pumped now lets get another one!

Thanks Everyone! This is exciting! Two more just came in, I'm still in the red but I'm glad that the conversions are at least taking place.

Congrats buddy. Now many more conversions after the first one. Its a good feeling here. But just a notice on the screenshot, I think the cost remains zero, I think you should look into that as well......

I think this right here is a big one. I think it's really easy to at first view affiliate marketing as a fantasy land where all of the claims aren't true. Once you get your first conversion, you realize you can do it. It's like they key to open the door. You might get lost a bunch once you step through but I think as long as you keep moving forward, you'll eventually get to what you want.

I just got started last week too and I applied to 5 different Affiliate Networks and I'm still going through the application process.

Congrats man... Nice feeling isn't it? You do it the right way by creating your own angles... Most affiliates just copy ads and landers - some diet landers have been around for years - they still work - but not nearly as good as new fresh content. I like to base my angles on real news - so when researching, i spend more time reading tabloid newspapers and gossip sites than on spying. Good luck - the first conversion is by far the hardest to get!

I'm sure that you will always remember this conversion, I think that for many affiliates the first conversion marks the beginning of the journey as it's the first practical step of realization that it's possible to make a business of affiliate marketing!
