Startapp question

Hey guys and gals,

Are there any Startapp case studies or guides available? I couldn't find one by searching the forum...
If not, can you please recommend what type of ads I should focus on, banners, interstitial or rich text and what sizes... Of course I can test them but to save money and time on testing it would help if someone with experience on the platform can point me in the right direction.

Any other tips that would cut my learning curve of the platform would be appreciated.

What is your preferred feature in Startapp? The one that is making the difference in your campaigns (targeting, installed apps, male, female...)

Thanks in advance

You can always hit up your account manager and drill them with questions.

They told me 65% of their traffic is from enriched ads. WIFI/carrier split is about 50/50. United States, India, Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Turkey are the top geos by volume.

Now, get some campaigns going

Hi Manutv

Thanks for the advice. I find them a bit slow to respond, it takes forever to get a couple of campaigns approved. And if they can't reach the landing page, they will email back, then I have to email back with a screenshot, even though I have already attached a screenshot with the campaign initially. Then they take another day to respond...
Maybe because I am new to the campaign, ,maybe I am doing something wrong, maybe the budget isn't big enough so it isn't prioritized, no idea... but I am at it Thanks again for the advice!

I think that they count imaginary clicks, I will upload video showing how they have stealed from me ...

I can offer a few insights here. I've used startapp fairly extensively and found their most attractive feature to be CPC billing (b/c it's cheap!!). The best creative type for startapp seems to be their rich text option which gets a good deal of volume and seems to convert well. You can almost forget about the rest of the creative types, including interstitial which typically does well on other networks - perhaps they just have low inventory. All that said, I have had an overall negative experience with startapp. Despite the lucratively low cost traffic, I've seen that click duplication is ridiculously high, nearing 50% per day. I am in the process of resolving the matter with StartApp but have not yet made headway. When I do I'll update this, but be warned, traffic is consistently bad (only recently discovered). Arbitrage on a network with consistently inflated visits is not a viable option.
