How would you run this campaign?

Hi everyone,

I came across this campaign on maxbounty: Penalty Kicks Game in Mexico. I came up with a couple ideas on how to run this campaign and I would love to hear some feedback and how you would run this campaign.

It's a mobile subscription so I thought about running pops for this one with a giveaway lander. For example, spin to win free soccer merchandise such as jersey's and such but they don't win and are told to play a soccer penalty game.

Another idea I had was a gaming lander showing recent "high scores" and challenging the user to beat the highest score for a prize.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thank You.

Your angles sound very interesting - worth a test for sure!

For something like pop, which is untargeted traffic (consisting of all kinds of people), you need to choose games that have broad appeal - think Candy Crush, or Flappy Bird. Gaming subscriptions where people can get all kinds of games from a website can do well also.

I like to keep things really simple - a couple of ideas you can also try:

1)Direct-linking. If the offer page is attractive enough, try showing it directly to the visitor.

2)If the offer page doesn't look exciting, make a simple lander with a couple of nice-looking graphics or even a youtube vid of game trailers or gameplay - this for example:

And of course a CTA saying something like "get this game now!"

3)Perhaps some of stackman's "mini-game" landers could work well?

Penalty Mania doesn't look like a fun game at all based on the youtube vid above (unless I have the wrong game...). If you pick a game that has a more attractive offer page, or nice-looking graphics you can put on your lander to entice people to clickthrough and download, it may sell better. Having said that - you never know how well an offer will sell before actually testing it.

Have fun!

Hey mate,

Before investing time and money into promoting this offer I would make sure it's proven. (either by asking your AM if it gets consistent volume or by checking spy tools).

Also I would not go about creating campaigns picking one random offer and one random traffic source. Instead I'd recommend either researching an offer and finding out which traffic source works well with it, or research a traffic source and find out what offers work well with that.

At this stage ad spy tools will help you a lot!
