What are most of you starting out at? I started with automatic bidding and still have the campaign on auto but now FB is barely giving me volume. Perhaps I need to move it to manual?
Auto bidding is usually quite aggressive and can result in high initial costs (not always).
If you have run things for a while, it may have determined your ad will work best at very low news feed positions (i.e. ad sucks) so is bidding very low > no traffic. So a manual bid can work around this. However, if auto bidding is leading to no traffic, I think the problem might be more with the ad performance.
I always go with manual bidding and see how it goes.
Thanks, I was thinking the same. Initially the ad does well and traffic comes in for days then it gradually dies. Guessing it gets stale but it just seemed to happen rather quickly.
I always go manual, it really depends on your ad though. if you are writing click bait style ads and you run an auto bid campaign your cpcs should generally be lower
