My Successful Native Campaigns So Far... (My Golden Nuggets)

Hey Team,

I've been getting some cool tips, hints and tricks so far with STM, so just wanted to give a tiny bit of feedback on what i've done that's worked so far and what hasn't.

If you pick up any nuggets of value then AWESOME! (If not, please feel free to comment on where i can improve on)

All Feedback is GOOD feedback :-)

-----

I Started Heavily Investing in Native about 3 Months ago, coming from a Biz Opp background.

What i've realised is MOST NICHES works, it just depends on how creative your ads are and how far you can make your budget stretch. Some more competitive niches take a MUCH LARGER budget to dig out the golden widgets / websites where others not so much.

My Successes:

Dating:

- Networks: W4, Peerfly - Russian Dating Offers
- Traffic Sources - Revcontent, MGID, Taboola (Although i don't think Taboola, is the best place to start as they are very stringent with what campaigns they approve and which they don't)
- Devices - Desktop
- CPL - $5 - $8
- Landers - No, just went direct (tested landers, but direct seemed to work better for me)
- Geo's - USA, UK
- CPC - $0.10 or below
- Creatives - Busty, Curvy girls get high clicks, low conversions - 'Girl Next Door' less clicks, high quality visitors.
- Positive ROI 30% over 3 months.
- Daily Ad Spend $300 - $500 (although i started with about $25 - $50 and ranked up as profits increased)

(some proof shots)

Weight Loss -

- Networks: Clickbank, Softwareprojects.com
- Traffic Sources - Revcontent, MGID, MyLikes (Surprisingly alot of people that i've spoke with don't use MyLikes, i'm no expert in where their traffic comes from, but it is the 2nd best ROI for me on this campaign)
- Devices - Desktop, Tablets
- CPA $27 - $97
- Landers - Yes tested, but going direct works as well if your starting out...
- Geo's - USA, UK, CA, AU, NZ - UK is the BEST!
- CPC - $0.20 or below
- Creatives - Pics of weird fruit works the best for me. The oversaturated 'Flabby Stomachs' do gain clicks, but CTR is lower. Newer more thought provoking images work best here.
- Positive ROI 30% over 3 months. Month 1: - 25% ROI, Month 2: +50% ROI, Month 3 (this month) - 30% ROI ( this month my white listed widgets, website don't seem to be converting as well, any seasoned Native guys a little help here maybe... ;-)
- Daily Ad Spend $500 - $750 (but sometimes traffic just doesn't reach above $200 - $300, usually weekends traffic spikes up to the $1k mark)

Self Defence

- Networks: myselfdefensetraining.com
- Traffic Sources - Revcontent - Whitelisted Widgets
- Devices - Desktop
- CPA $20 - $100
- Landers - Nope, Direct works best. (I could test a self made lander here though)
- Geo's - USA, (tested other geo's, but USA seem to have the best ROI)
- CPC - $0.10 $0.15
- Creatives - Self defence Animation works VERY WELL here. (men and women)
- Positive ROI 40% over 3 months.
- Daily Ad Spend $100 - $250

My Failures: (just to name a few)

- Cannabidiol
- Asian Dating
- Idol Lash
- Heart Health Dangers
- Probiotic America
- Try Miracle Smoke
- FlashLights
- Dollar Save Club

Failure for me was testing the offer with 4 - 5 times payout on each network without 1 conversion. I know this isn't the best way to gauge whether an offer / niche is profitable, far from it, but in finding winning campaigns faster this seems to have worked for me. Moving forward i will certainly be spending a bit more time in researchig popular and PROVEN campaigns. (especially Nutra)

Does Native Work - Well Of Course! Does it take time, patience and a TON of watching, optimising etc Hell YEAH!

Hopefully this share will show some people a few months up the line (just starting out) that it is possible with a bit of time and a budget to work with. Of course i've got a LONG way to go to be an EXPERT, but the hardest part is just STARTING!

Also any Native guys a few months down the line i welcome any constructive criticism on what / how i can improve moving forward.

Anyhow, that's it -

Keep on Rocking STM!

- Mo

*SideNote, Any AWESOME masterminds that people are apart of please PM me, i'd love to be involved and give me 'humble' insights on what i've learnt so far...

That's awesome man! I have never thought native could work with such a low payout of 5$
thanks so much for sharing

Nice, looks like you've got it figured out for the most part.
If someone has never done native before, where do you recommend they start? Which geo, vertical, network specifically?

08-28-2016 11:51 AM #4 affiliaxeoran (Member)

Native could work with the lower payouts as mentioned (~5$). Biz opps, Dating, Games...

Maybe the margins wouldnt be very big, but with enough spend you can do well and the quality should be higher and as a result you will get more caps and possibly bumps.

Interesting that you find more success by going direct and not using prelanders. At first I thought maybe its for just 1 offer but when I see this is the way most (all) of the offers you tried (or had success with) then I think that maybe (and dont be offended) the landers you used werent good enough. Because sometimes going direct does work better, but just a little weird that it happend with all the successful campaings you listed.

Some affiliates are just better when going direct for various reasons.

Very cool post, thank you for sharing.

Hey bro, I would say AUZ, UK, CA - Geo's (Then scale to US as it's the most competitive)
- Vertical, Go for something with a popular niche defo, with a healthy selection of offers. Diet / Nutra is prob a good place to start. I went down the DATING route as the payout was low, but it allowed me with a lower budget to gather conversion data faster... In the long run though higher paying offer is probably a lot better.

Hope this helps:
Check this Vid out i just saw today - explains this PERFECTLY, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufmEJdVTYhw <<< John C, $25,000 Profit Per Day Potential with this Native Ad Network...

Hey Oran,

Yea - I agree. No idea why going direct works best, I'd actual prefer to hit landers, as i know that PRESELL will equate to a higher ROI, but at the moment direct seems to be doing well.

OF COURSE - there's always room for improvement, so i guess i gotta get to work with some NEW presells ;-)

great info and awesome results bro..

When you say no lander, do you mean you even skip the advertorial and just go straight to the offer page?

Do most networks allow that?

I'm curious as well.

It depends on the offer and the advertiser usually.

AFAIK you can go direct (straight to the offer page) most of the time. Although, it can be advised not to as using a (good) LP can increase not only the CR but also the quality of your leads.

So, you should check with your AM regarding specific offers and in general.

09-19-2016 07:47 PM #16 moent77 (Member)

Yep - Certainly ask your AM,

It's probably best to test both, but for whatever reason my chosen offers done well DIRECT ;-)

Hello mate, Mylike is also my main source of traffic source. I have good ROI with mylikes but these days it is down. Is there any other traffic source like mylikes which allow BH marketing?

What native networks have you found work best that don't have a lot of bots or fraud on them? I have a gemini account but I was told its very low volume on there.

Nicely written, have you ever tried Yahoo Gemini? I am thinking of experimenting on this. Would be happy to connect and share the learning.
