Account Close - Misleading Ads/Negative Feedback - How to know?

Hi,

Our longstanding 100% whitehat account was closed for misleading ads with negative user feedback - WHOA.

My question is, how to know about this and prevent this? Our ads had all super high relevancy always 9 or higher.

Cheers

They ban you for anything now.

One way is through using the Insights tool on your page. You can check each post and look at the negative feedback section:

Though I'm pretty sure there is obviously more to it than that such as comments that they make on the post is probably analyzed as well, such as 100 people posting 'scam' comments. You can control stuff like that using Page Moderation in your Settings, but I believe it's also not good if you are hiding too many comments.

There's probably other things that trigger it too, I'm just not sure of them all

Then it might be probably good not to use boost/engagement function at all following this? We did more and more boost in the past two month compared to before...

That negative feedback list in the post preview/info section is weird and misleading.

I usually only see zeroes here despite having high positive/negative all over the place. I don't really trust it.

HI Zeno,

We let boost ads run for several month also, there might be collecting some in that time. But I think its just a generic response to the account ban.

Do we have rules anywhere for keeping account safe? Next to the obvious T&C?

Cheers and thanks

Hi Zeno,

So how do you find out about your negative feedback?

Cheers

Generally I just ignore it because I can't see decent data on it. Negative feedback rates of low/med/high aren't very helpful and they always seem to be high.

Overall I think it comes down more to common sense with ad design - will it piss people off, the targeting - is this going to be irritating to some peoples, and the commenting - are there lots of negative comments, are 100% of your comments negative, are people commenting "get this shit off my feed", etc.

Thanks Zeno, any news on the updated FB guide ?

I think also FB and Google just clamping down on ARBi hard....might be big part of it..
