My Experience Using Mobile Ad Monitor Spy Tool

Hi guys,

I recently subscribed to Mobile Ad Monitor. Upon searching banners and landers in Spanish speaking countries such as Colombia, Argentina and others, most ads were showing in English, with only a few in Spanish. Obviously, I expected to see the opposite (very few English ads). The results held true for a variety of offer types.

I am now wondering whether this may be a case of many English-speaking affiliates being too lazy to convert the ads to Spanish, or am I looking at some defect in the spy tool itself and possible inaccurate search results? This is the only spy tool I have used so far, so I have nothing else to compare to Mobile Ad Monitor. What do you think?

Also, I am wondering how many of you are doing fine running English ads in non-English native countries, and if so, which geos? Thanks in advance to all of you for your input.

*Update: See below email response from William at Mobile Ad Monitor, following my inquiry about the odd search results.

Hi Michael,
That is probably a result of we (the developers) being English-speaking and the list of sites we scrape being (mostly) sites in English. We are trying to get better affiliate lists that are more regional-specific.

It shouldn't be logging you out every ten minutes... right now it's set so logins expire after an hour. I will double check that though.
Will

This is one of the topics that is being talked about all the time and there is no definite answer to it.

We had it here not so long ago for example : http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...try-s-Language

So as I posted in that thread, I usually split test it and properly translated copy usually wins.

As for the spytool - I'm not sure how well it works, so it could be a tech problem, but in some verticals people use english banners a lot.
