How to make that final push into profit with Pops?

Hi Everyone,

So, I'm about $2 - $2.5k into AV pin submits and sweeps on pop, but I'm finding it a bit frustrating to make that final push into making decent money on my camps.

To give you a bit of background, this is what I've been doing to date.

1. Religiously following all the pops 'follow alongs', implementing all the great advice from vortex, matuloo (and all the others who drop nuggets of solid info) in my camps.

2. Mass testing offers and geos with fairly aggressive landers that I split tested earlier on when I started. (I've basically work through a spreadsheet of every offer that I could find in the 5 or 6 networks that I'm with).

3. Tracking everything with Voluum, and running traffic from popads, zeropark and popcash.

4. Testing anything that shows even the slightest glimpse of promise (i.e the offer actually converts) on at least one other traffic source.

5. All the other best practice info that get shared on the forum - drilling down into the data looking for pockets of green, testing staggered bids, cutting placements that are obviously draining the budget, etc.

6. Testing all geos except UK, and US.

So, anyway, I feel like I have a fair Idea of what to do and how to do it (some kind of process, if you like), but I just can't seem to tie it all together to make it work.

I mean, I'll test lots of offers in various GEOs and (very) occasionally I'll find something that works to a degree.

However, the camp will either die within a few days because the traffic drys up (or it becomes a bidding war) or the offer just stops converting for whatever reason. A lot of the time this happens before i can even optimise the camp properly.

Then, on top of this, when I try to scale from one traffic source to another the offer will normally just flop.

Sometimes they make a few dollars, if I'm lucky.

It's all very frustrating, but I'm determined to make this work, so any advice would be extremely welcome. :-)

Cheers

Simon

Follow bump.

I'm in a similar situation, just not as deep into the pocket book yet. Took me about 1k$ to learn everything and set it up. Now I'm several hundred into testing, with my latest campaign hitting almost breakeven ROI.

Hoping for some good responses for you (and me).
