Is this a good way to run mobile pop traffic?

I have just recently got into running mobile pop campaigns and have been reading up on them here for quite a while. I am going to try and summarize everything I have read so far and seek confirmation from some of the experts on here if this is the right way to go at it or not.

Step 1: Find 2-3 similar offers to test. (ask AM to point you in the right direction in terms of what is converting and what isn't)

Step 2: Come up with at least 5 different landing page angles. (Easier to spy and rip a bunch and test them instead of creating own, but they could be saturated/burnt out)

Step 3: Set up a RON campaign on traffic source ie. PopCash (make 3 different campaigns using staggered bids min|med|max)

Step 4: Using your tracker, cut the worst performing offers (after enough data has been collected)

Step 5: Using your tracker, cut the worst performing landing pages (after enough data has been collected)

Step 6: Blacklist placements that are not going to be profitable and keep running this RON campaign

Step 7: The placements that are profitable, add them to a new whitelist placements campaign (also add these placements to the RON campaign that is going to keep running, so you can test further placements)

Step 8: Keep updating the whitelist/blacklists campaigns

Step 9: Scale to other pop sources as well

------------

For sake of simplicity I cut out some stuff like testing wifi vs carrier, smartphone vs tablet, etc. (but I am aware of these)

Anyways, would you guys say this is a good way to run pop traffic and become profitable with it ? Or is there anywhere I could improve my methodology?

Also, would you say that the big affiliates doing xx,xxx a day instead of x,xxx are using their own fresh landers on pop traffic, or is it possible to reach those 5 digit figures with a ripped lander?

Hope to see some important improvements + tips!

The plan is good, I would just change some numbers : 2-3 offers are not really enough anymore, you will most likely have to test more. Same goes for LPs, 5 won't cut it most likely.

In step 3 - if you decide to test staggered bids, pick the one performing the best and keep running just that until you optimize your funnel, then retest.
In step 7 - once you move a placement to whitelist, you should blacklist it in the old one so you don't compete against yourself - but I think you understand this part as you mention blacklist in the next step.

Big affiliates doing xx.xxx have teams and basically operate on a larger scale so they surely introduce their own creatives too. But there is more to it - access to cheaper traffic, affiliates send them traffic, better payouts ... Its not all about the LPs, you need way more than just that to reach xx.xxx per day.

Ah yes I forgot the step in regards to the staggered bids.

In terms of offers, lets say theres the exact same app install offer on affiliate network A and affiliate network B with the exact same payout, I believe you should test both of them right? Just want to confirm my belief that they can convert differently simply due to the affiliate network they are on.

Also, do you believe it is possible to do x,xxx profit / day using ripped landers? I just got into doing pop so for now to speed up the learning process of course I am simply using ripped landers, however, I want to change that as soon as I get the hang of things if the chance of hitting bigger numbers in terms of profits is easier with your own design.
