FB Creatives

Hi Guys!

Just getting started with FB and having mostly everything down pat, except for the creatives.... I've been doing Native for about 2 years now and have that mastered in terms of creatives and such (I'm in the skin niche), however, don't have a clue what will work for FB... I realize people aren't going to give them to me, but looking for some guidance.

Are they similar to display? I use some pretty aggressive creatives for native, wondering where the line is for FB. Any and all feedback is much appreciated!

You can try getting a spy tool and see what others are doing...the more aggressive it is the quicker the ads account will get banned

AdEspresso has a decent free tool to view Ad Examples

Before you get started, make sure you have a lot of FB accounts. You are going to lose them fast running skin camps there. As far as spy tools, adsvantage is decent. You can also go low tech and just start liking fan pages related to skin care.

It's not technically a spy tool, in the sense that you won't find proper FB ads shown and categorized, but you can use Buzzsumo. It basically shows you what are the posts with most interactions (likes and shares) on FB based on a keyword. It's useful to see what images and headlines work best for a topic and most of all what type of content you can use to take advantage of the organic FB traffic.

Hi, Jordan!

There are some terrific tips here. Even so, I’d like to add a few things just to try to help you with this important step.

First, you gotta have a spy tool. Second, you must know the reach of each post so as to have that wonder money making campaign.

My advice? Use both AdEspresso and Buzzsumo and try to get as much info as possible. You should then try working on topics which have the power to connect a billion people (eg. Whatsapp). You can also think about topics that allow the user to interact (e.g. fidelity tests).

You can never forget that your banner has to be appealing. You’ve gotta create something that’s almost impossible for users not to click on. This is the game in a nutshell. This is what it's all about.

You need to find the right balance between having an appealing banner and not having your FB account lost.

When you find that special balance, you’ll start making it rain like a pro!

I hope these tips can guide you to the gold mines!

Cheers!
