Hey Guys,
What is your strategy for Jumptap campaigns' optimization.
Let's say you have enough data to make decision.
Do you white list profitable sites/handsets?
Or do you black list unprofitable ones?
The question is do you continue tracking sites/handsets with low traffic volume or work with profitable (or almost profitable) only?
What is optimal number of duplicated campaigns in Jumptap that can increase traffic volume?
Any other ideas for optimization ...
Thanks
All those strategies work just pick one and go for it. Gather data and decide.
I usually cut whatever has no potential so pubs, handsets, carriers with 0 conversions after X clicks = cut.
Then I find pockets that have volume OR hig conversion and target those, optimize, bid high and $$$
What is X for you?
Was wondering this too.
Does it make sense to cut off all non-converting categories first? and then move onto handsets and carriers optimization?
Regarding whitelisting & blocking...
Do both.
Usually I'll first figure out which carriers actually convert...and then run separate campaigns for each carrier.
Then, for each of those carriers, I'll eventually create a whitelisted and a blocked campaign. Whitelisted campaign is for the stuff that definitely converts. Blocked is for finding new combinations to whitelist. Block the stuff that's eating up the budget & give other targets a chance.
Like Liane said... that's a similar strategy for me.
As for what X is it depends on your offer. If I know that offer converts at 5% (ask AM or historical data) and I see 200 clicks and 2 conversions to me thats a cut.
