[Help] Any Excel Experts Here?

1. I use pivot tables a lot to manage my PPV campaigns data. Since I bid on a few variations on a target, the cpvlab raw data will contain data like:

Code:
.domain.com
domain.co
.domain.co*
My current way of doing things is with the substitute command, then manually copy pasting over the original target.

So all of them is domain.com

What do you do so that all the metrics under that same target is shown as 1 combined data in the pivots report?

2. Is there a way to save the calculated field formula so you can reuse it on other new reports in the future?

I find it troublesome having to recreate the formula for every pivot table I create.

Alright... After typing out that 1st question, I just remembered of
a tool called Google Refine.

http://code.google.com/p/google-refine/

Would still appreciate it if you can share your process.

not sure why you combine them all together....Maybe I am just missing something......but I look at those as individual kwds....and not all the same.....as the CVR and/or CTR can vary so much on each variation....

please show me what I am missing....(and possibly others as well)

Because 95% of the traffic goes to only 1 of those variations.
The other variations only get drips of traffic, I would prefer to bundle them up.

Aren't they really all the same target though? Sure, they are triggered differently, but they're all the same demo from the same base URL.

Why would they convert differently?

I have found that they do convert differently so probably best to leave them separate.

Interesting find. Is Refine a webservice or is it code i need to download?

For google spreadsheets -> look into Google Apps Script which allows you to use basic Javascript as macro's in Google Docs.

Google Refine runs as a local web service. You download it, run it, and use chrome to do the work. It's pretty slick.
