How to fetch Cost from TJ to CPVLabs
Hi,
Great to be a part of this awesome community.
I have everything setup but need to know if we can fetch the cost from TrafficJunky into CPVLabs in order to have a clear picture. If anyone knows this then please help me out
Thanks

Hello,
TJ is a CPM bidding network and as such it's not possible to automatically transfer costs to any tracker. The price of the click is different for every click so to speak, as the CTR goes up and down all the time. This is the same with any CPM bidding network unfortunately.
You have to adjust the costs manually every day or so, to have as accurate data as possible, but it will never match 100%. This is one of many obstacles you need to deal with in AM.
Welcome to the forum BTW
Mat

Can't you take delayed data from previous day when the data is finalized? You are correct in regard to ever changing cost per click due to the ctr ups and downs but if stats trackers could pull in the data every new day for previous days, it would at least give more solid data than manually adjusting, not to mention save some time.
My devs are working on some stuff like this right now, I know some trackers can work with it but I am unsure if all of them do yet. I am trying to reach out to as many of them as possible to find ways to get more data passed in programmatically.

You can either use the TJ stats API or just do html scrapping to fetch costs from their platform and then divide them by the clicks in that time frame (for example the day before as Ross said) to have an average cost per click. As matuloo said, it's not the real cost for each click due to the ctr etc but it's an average cost that at least is better than updating it manually.
The part i don't know is how to parse that in CPVLabs as I have never used that tracker, but it's probably not to hard either.

The last time I used cpvlab there was the option to update cost in a set time frame, not sure if it can be automated somehow but the process itself was just about filling out the value and hitting submit so nothing complicated.
