Where to start as a Newbie? Need help

My gripe right now is choosing where to start, because I know that whatever I choose I have to excel in it and know all the details about it. I know that switching roads every few weeks/months is not going to get you anywhere.

The first thing I'm thinking about going into is Facebook Ads, creating landing pages and promoting products this way.

Or I’m going straight to e-mail marketing, because with e-mail marketing (list building) I have a traffic source that I control. This gives me the benefit to build a relationship and sell items long term

An e-mail list also has the additional benefit to be an asset that I can sell later on.

What do you guys recommend starting with?

Read Zenos guide for newbies as well as other Super Affiliates posts and follow your INSTINCTS.

The faster you fail the faster youll hit that profitable campaign.

Get out there and start launching.

Since this is about your future, you will be the one who will have to make the final decision

There are several approaches you can choose

1. Fast learning process - go for pops and push sweeps or PINs. This is the easiest to start with and it's the most popular choice with newbies. This is good enough to learn the principles of paid traffic, but it's full of competition right now.
2. Longer learning process - this could be the first thought you had - facebook ads and promoting products. This takes longer to master, requires larger budget etc ... but the possibilities to scale are way larger.
3. Long term plan - this could be the email marketing you mentioned - you would be building for the future and you would have an asset to sell too - in order to build an emal list, you will need traffic anyways, so you gotta learn how to work with paid traffic anyways.

All the 3 options have one thing in common, you need to learn how to handle paid traffic, how to build Landing Pages and use them effectively, how to work with tracking ... I would start here. It's true that it's not a good idea to jump from one thing to another every few weeks, but it's also not true that you'd have to stick with your initial choice forever. You can start with pops and learn the basics, then move to facebook and eventually end up by building email lists ...
