how to sell ad space for a popular popular, but controversial website?

hey

random question here that i would like to ask out of interest.

i know someone that has a very popular site concerning controversial subject matter, that would like to find ways to monetize his site.

he cant currently get any form of advertising due the being banned from almost all western payment systems and ad platforms...

and would like to find a direct buyer.

the site gets over 100k unique visits and month...

http://www.dailystormer.com/

does anyone have any advise on the best way to find advertisers for this site,

or any suggestions for a good way to go about monetizing it in anyway.

Could you please elaborate on that? Is there ANY way for him to receive payment? Direct-deposits? Cheques? Wires? Online payment gateways such as paypal?

Since the site covers a wide range of topics, it would probably be hard to find affiliate products to promote on the site - unless you want to try promoting something like Donald Trump jewelry (or whichever politician alt-righters are in support of ATM - I chose to remain completely ignorant on the subject of politics). (I'm not kidding - I've heard this kind of stuff doing amazingly well on FB when targeting Trump supporters - not surprisingly.)

Adsense and native ads like Taboola and Revcontent come to mind. I know adsense can do direct bank deposits as well as send cheques through the mail.

Or, just promote really broad-appeal offers such as movie subscriptions, and maybe stuff like java/flash updates if your friend wouldn't mind promoting shadier offers.

Holy shit!!! Thats a pretty fucking controversial website!!!!!

I would tell your friend to join clickbank though, and try promoting a survival offer, and also tell him to join nutryst or a4d and test out some flashlight offers. Those work really well on rightwing audiences.

I used to manage glenn becks advertising so im pretty familiar with this audience.

Check out some of the digital marketer/perry belcher stuff too, they promote a lot of prods to conservative audiences too.

@johnaff @vortex

thanks for the replies!! ill let him know and see what he says and post a reply here.

he has definitly been banned from paypal and any other online payment system, but can receive direct deposits into his bank account or cheques in the mail, but mostly does everything in bitcoin at the moment. the ideal situation would be a direct buy by someone, and not have any payment processors in the middle.

he has already been banned from all these platforms, so those are no goes. pressure groups come down on them hard over this website.

i think nutra/supplement products would do well on his site, since its a similar audience to alex jones... also survivalist products would do well for sure... issue is not getting kicked of the networks because of the controversial nature of the website... and payment issues... hurdles in the way for sure.

ill tell him to sign up to nutryst and check it out. i saw your you tube video about the flashlight and had already mentioned that to him...

anyway there should be a way to monetize this site since it has a large audience that is only getting bigger month to month with occasional massive spikes when there are certain happenings in the news cycle. its just money sitting on the table for sure.

ill post a reply when he answers these questions.

thanks!!
