What email service to use for bulk email? (5)
Hey all,
I could not find a quick answer. I was under the assumption that mailchimp or klaviyo would treat me well, but as my list is growing at between 500 and 1000 a day, sending thank you emails / cart abandonment emails gets to be very expensive. Is this something I will just have to live with or are there cheaper services out there?

If you are looking for email automation and creating email list though your shopping site or optin pages then you should go with activecampaign, infusionsoft, agile CRM... you find find most of them a bit pricey when compared to others but they do have a ton of features which will come really handy when you operate an online business or have custom funnels... if you are doing everything alright then you will have a huge ROI using them.
the cheaper and go to services would be from getresponse, aweber and campayn although their recent delivery has been hit due to lot of spammers getting in.
sendy.co is also another option which can be used but amazon does not like affiliate marketing, so you got to be careful with it.
Another solution which can be cheap would be to use a self-hosted email solution such as interspire, there are a lot of vendors in the market and they will configure it for you if you are not into tech stuff.
For transactional emails, you should have a look at Amazon SES.
What CMS are you using? Many have integration plugins to connect to your Amazon SES account.

When they first subscribe, they get a series of 10 to 20 emails, once per day that looks like a story. In each of those emails I either have a link to a blog post with more details or a link to the product I promote. I try to cover as many angles as possible in those stories.
After that initial auto responder series, I send broadcasts once in a while.
