Can anyone suggest a good tool for creating professional quality Flash banners please?
You could try BannerSnack which is free or Ulead GIF animator which is cheap and has a free 15 day trial.
ok having tested like every banner tool out there.....here is the main issue....clicktags
every ad network has a funky way they want tags.....those banner generators suck at this....because clickTag is dif than clickTAG or clicktag......
some networks can parse out the variable some cant and it needs to be in their correctly.....
koolmoves is great for doing banners....prob the best out there....but some networks don't like the clicktag it makes.....
banner snack is ok...but last I did things there file sizing sucks balls and you will find that most banners you create will be 50k+ and wont work on alot of networks....
really the best is adobe.....as it has the most flexibility of anything out there...the problem is the learning curve is a bit steep.....but you can do some great stuff with it....
I would highly highly suggest Ulead gif animater...i did a video on it here in the forums....making ani-gifs to me is the quickest and fastest way to make banners that work at all networks....
the only issue being the sizing....ani-gis can get to be huge......where as flash if done right is much much smaller file size wise.....
I pretty much do all ani-gifs for my banners these days....as its so much faster and easier in most cases....I can easily ripp out 100 banners in a day without much issue if need be....

Yes Adobe is great. Although I have After effects and can product hollywood quality output, if required, it's the time factor.
I'd forgotten about Ulead's Animator. Great kit. Ulead were a Taiwanese company I used to see at the Trade Shows in Taipei back in my travelling days. Fabulous products and friendly, VERY enthusiastic, staff. Corel bought them out and did little with the gems they had produced.
Mmmm ... looks like a job for ISOHUNT ;-)
