White Hat Account Deactivated - What Now?

Hi,

I have been running a 100% Whitehat account for nearly a year now at 25k-30k spend roughly per month. Normally all our ads are 9-10 Relevance, and nearly non gets disapproved.

I had a slight problem with an ad - which got approved anyways, which I duplicated then. Now our account is shut down for violating policies. I am not sure whats the reason for this.

I got an standard email saying:
Your account was disabled for running ads that do not deliver a consistent and expected experience for viewers. It's not an acceptable practice to monetize Facebook ad views using unoriginal or extremely minimal content on the destination page for an ad. And also
For this reason, if any of your ads are unapproved or your ad account has been disabled, we will be unable to reactivate either. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please consider this decision final.

What would you do now?

1. Open up a business manager account on same personal account
2. Can I reimport the campaigns and especially pixel?
3. Is it worth it to hassle with them? We are really 100% whitehat, nothing else

Cheers and thanks

I don't have experience with this... but a friend of mine had similar problem and solved it by getting under a "media agency" account where he gets more suppot and Facebook is more tolerant.

Also you may think that your account is "whitehat" but if you carefully read FB's T&C you may discover, that this was justified. Basically they will most likely not tell you unless you have a good contact there but you can guess. Also the recent Facebook decision to fight against clickbait may have something to do with this.

GL anyways

Thank you a lot. Yeah i am activating all my contacts at FB right now, but think the same as you.

Media Agency account - I will look into this! Really had only one account under my own name, not even Business Manager. Now I will be smarter.

It's worth to contact fb for more details, especially you're running WH. It's true that fb is more tolerant toward their agency accounts (that's why these accs can run BH for much longer time), and they response more quickly to their agencies also. But it's hard to get the acc back anw, no matter what it's an agency one or not.

Hey Hoang,

thanks a ton - yeah im staying in contact with them. I already read the T&C and really cant figure out what we did wrong. In fact I contacted them via CHAT before the ban twice to ask what we can improve, and they said all OK.
Thanks for your answer

There are times where their actions are indeed irrational. Tons of interns are working there, so you can't expect professionalism at its best.

Its your lander not your ad.

The problem with FB is that a self-learning algorithm controls their ban system; it is the precursor to some very more advanced AIs that FB is working on. (Fb is actually the one company that elon musk believes to be the single biggest threat to our existance, because AI is being invented Fast, and it will mean that the matrix happens basically)

The algorithm banning your account is imperfect to say the least, and frequently wrong, so dont take it personally, theres nothing you can do.

What Ive done to not let the fb AI mess with my whitehat media buyers campaigns is i simply paid a 'connected' agency a 5k monthly retainer and told them to whitelist my accounts with fb (aka no automated dismissals).

Hey,

We do have some slight pagination yes - I agree.

What would you recommend me to do now? I dont want to risk open a new account and get banned asap for something I dont know we did...

Cheers

Hey Jon,

thanks a ton for your answer.

The Media Agency whitelisted accounts under their account or external ones?

What would you recommend us to do now ? Open up a Business Manager Account and keep going? I am bit hesistant since I have no clue what went wrong...and all our pixels etc are gone..

Thanks

hey, could you make it more clear. what do you mean "to whitelist your acc". Does this means your acc will never be reviewed by fb.

It won't be possible to open a business manager account on the same account that got banned FYI, it won't let you create ads account or add credit card.

I recommend writing them multiple emails till you get a reply. Also, make it a long detailed story when you send it to them. I've had accounts disabled, I wrote them about a 400 word essay and got it back. Some points you want to touch on is:

-understand what you did, own up to it (even though you think it was all WH and it could be)
-tell them it won't happen again
-point out how much you spend

Hi Racket,

thanks man. Yes it might be Pagination on our Landers (i am still not sure).

So you think It makes sense to keep contacting them even though they say its final decision?

Thanks a ton
