Hi!
With regards to the mobile pop/redirects 101 tutorial by Ruby,
The guide is followed with traffic source ZeroPark
When I go into my adplexity and check the traffic source for my offer type (anti virus), Propeller Ads has 4000 results, while ZeroPark only has 300 results
Question:
1) What does this mean? That ZeroPark does not have too many people sending their traffic to AntiVirus offers?
2) Should I be using Propeller Ads (or any other traffic sources with more search results) rather than ZeroPark?
3) Is there any type of specific research (with Adplexity, or any other type of research) that I can do, so that I know which Traffic Source suits my type of offer the best?
POP traffic in general is a big mix with pretty much no targeting options when it comes to niches or interest groups, so it needs offers with broad appeal to work and turn positive ROI. This being said, it doesnt matter much what POP source you pick, the broad offers like antivirus can work on all of them. The main difference between the pop sources are in the traffic quality, competition, targeting options (carrier, OS, browser ...) so you will indeed see the CVR go up and down based on what source you use.
Lower amount of results on adplexity or any other spytool can mean lower traffic volumes on a particular source, or that the source was added later on so naturally the results are lower and it can also mean that there are other offers pushed more. One way or another, you shouldn't refrain from testing a particular vertical on some source just because a spytool shows less results for it. Sometimes it can actually play in your favor, as a less saturated vertical can perform better.
