How To Promote Halloween Stuff?

Ok, so sure there are a few email halloween submits to promote, but what about the CPS halloween stuff thats more legit?

For example like halloween costumes is the most popular halloween keyword, so assuming we can get sales on a 30 dollar or so costume, netting us around 10-20 percent commission , giving us around 3-6 dollars per conversion..

How do people get such a low conversion profitable on a CPS? Adwords the cpc prices will be extremely high no doubt, and facebook seems to be hard getting a high ctr without branching off too far from the actual people that would want to "buy" the costumes in the first place.. meaning high cpcs in general..

Any help / pointers?

PPV traffic must have a great ROI,
otherwise Leadimpact allowed me to use their traffic to promote a CPS offer

I have had some success with CPS and AdWords using product data feeds. Yes, the bids are high. But I am getting around 20% conversion rate on some products because the keywords are so specific. I include the sales price in each ad to further pre-qualify clicks.

I primarily use ShareaSale.com, which makes data feed access easy (direct .csv file download). There are several vendors with Halloween costumes, and like CJ, etc. you need to get approved for each one. But many are auto-approve.

The second part of the equation is Speed PPC. This allows me to build out thousands of ads with the embedded product name and price quickly, after the tedious job of cleaning up the data feed spreadsheet. I am considering outsourcing this job, which could be done by your average offshore VA.

I'll tell you how i've seen people do really well during halloween before and you can take the concept and run with it:

When the movie 'kickass' came out (couple years ago), that's who i wanted to be for Halloween so i searched 'kickass costume' on google and the #1 site that came up wasn't buycostumes.com, but it was a guys website he made himself. He was selling the kickass costume by himself without going through an affiliate program. So i got very excited and had to see if he was making it himself or what his deal was, i emailed and go no response. I called a couple halloween mega stores, and asked if i can buy costumes in bulk (not for resale but for a mega party i was having) and get a deal, none were really able to help me. I did couple hours of internet hunting and found some possible suppliers, i finally talked one into sending me 150 of the costumes for $1,777.50.

That's $11.85 a piece. The guy online was selling his costumes for $68 + shipping.
Profit of $56 a wig
$56 x 300 costumes $16,800.

Not bad at all for 2 months work, and we're talking 2 hours a day max to work on it.
- The SEO is simple because theres not much competition, just get up a blog, some links etc and you should be set. (Just set it up a good month before September so it has proper time to index.)

-------- This is all the guy did for his 'kickass' costume site ...he could have done a LOT more!

1. He could have included Hit Girl & Big Daddy costumes and forsure doubled his revenue (there were a lot of 'hit girls' out for halloween).
It would have increased his SEO as well

2. Take those costumes and sell them on Facebook & PPV! It's the perfect targeting! Sure you won't see $56 profit per costume, but if you already have the 3 costumes in stock, the website, and buying system in place then it'd be crazy not to run it.
