What questions to ask AM

Pretty much as title says What questions should I ask AM about offers? What info can give me competitive advantage?

Thanks in advance

You can either go with the flow and ask for offers that they see doing a lot of volume with solid EPC, or go against it in a way and look for offers that are overlooked to some extent. One way or another, you need offers that are getting a good amount of conversions per day, so you are sure they are alive. There are many ways to approach this again, I like to ask for offers from a GEO I have some experience with and see some potential in (due to low traffic prices for example). It's also a good idea to ask for data on particular offer urls, in case there are multiple available, some perform better than the others.

A good idea is to look for offers from new advertisers, or new launches from proven advertisers - these tend to work very well for the first few weeks. Try to discover the next big thing before everybody promotes it already

Hello bnvltd!

How's it going?

Your Account Manager is someone who's able to show you the best strengths within his network. Indeed, he’ll do his/her best to make sure you reach your max potential as an offer monetizer!

Personally, I think it's important that you also have a somewhat solid idea of what you want. In fact, it’s crucial that you know your goals, where you're going to promote your campaigns, and how you're gonna do it. Of course, this is also something you can work out with your AM. He'll probably also give you even more useful info which will make your road clearer and filled with many great opportunities.

What you want from your AM is this: someone whom you know will always tell you about opportunities that match your needs. A great AM is a teacher and a colleague; someone whose job it is to open new doors for you. For this reason, I reckon it's important that you let him know what kind of traffic you’ve got right from the get go. Moreover, you should tell him/her about your best sources (or sorts of sources) and the GEOS that work wonders for you (or that appear to you to be your next gold mines).

It’s also very important that your AM is someone that has a great general knowledge of the industry. He/she must know about the kind of competition you can expect on your type of traffic/advertising, helping you pick what’s more likely to turn a profit.

Let’s say you’re a Media Buyer. You certainly know the importance that segments have. You know very well that the combination of country + 3G carrier + device, etc. is fundamental. However, there are two very different things: one thing is having the knowledge that there are some great, well-performing segments out there. We’re talking about segments such as Thailand and India Airtel (both Android in this example). Another different thing is realizing that those also happen to be some pretty competitive spots. This is where the AM can really impact your progress. Why? Because a competent AM will always be clear and straightforward with you, allowing you to understand that it would be easier for you to explore more open markets, getting some revenue from them. For instance, a great AM would tell you that African GEOS such as South Africa and Kenya are looking great right now

So what do you really need to ask your AM? Opportunities. Clear shots to make it big. Chances that will allow you to flourish and Thrive in this business knowing you can count on someone with the amount of professional experience you need in order to feel supported all the way. You wanna ask your AM for an offer that’ll convert in the specific channels in which you’ll promote it. Simple.

Hope this has helped you!

Let's make sure you're gonna get a lot of cool conversions!

Cheers!
