SMS vs EMAIL marketing. Best money results?

I have been sending big volumes of email, but the open rate of SMS is way better and justifies the cost per SMS.
Any preffered SMS sending system out there?

Twillo's the usual go-to for SMS sending in startup circles, AFAIK.

Although personally I steer way away from running SMS lists because in the West a lot of the laws around unsolicited SMSes are really, really scary - "go to jail for a long time" type scary.

Very interested to hear if other people are making it work, though!

Well SMS pretty much costs nothing, and open rates are off the charts -- several orders of magnitude higher than email.

If you can do this compliantly and with proper and willing consumer consent, it is an absolutely amazing channel.

Of course, if you can't do it compliantly, you are looking at serious jail time and complete financial ruin in many developed countries, LOL.

Well it depends a lot of on countries where do you run.

SMS usually have great conversion rate but need to be sent carefully and with some opt-out mechanism established (best would be via call)

Also important things with sms marketing is to get verified mobile carrier sender id, which will prevent blocking from mobile carrier

Hi johner, looking to run SMS aggressively in South Korea and china. Do you know of any limitations in these geos? and which system would you recommend?

I have done both and had much success but I have to admit SMS is an amazing channel, especially with targeted data.
I personally would advise using data that has given consent as it is much easier to get into legal trouble with SMS.

There are many providers out there, Twilio is a great one.

Sorry man..
I've no experience with those 2, don't even know which companies are good for that..

Also situationt changed quite a bit in last 3 years. I'd try whatsapp / viber / wechat msgs. instead of sms.
I have no experience with those either.. and have them in to do for test mid 2019.

what are the services everyone is using? I have a ton of data from being an advertiser that I need to utilize and want to try to monetize on the SMS side of things - twilio categorizes numbers from land lines to cell? and by provider?

Hi guys,

I am new to this, however, I am looking into email marketing as I have a list of over 500k.
Can anyone advise a provider or an email marketing platform that would be able to send this volume?

Thanks
