How important is ...?

How important is an aged domain vs a new domain for creating a blog / lander where the traffic source is FB?

I know FB cares about WOT of the page, but what about the age of it?

My question is because I am deciding between buying a new domain or buying an expired domain (with possibly backlinks to it).

I'm assuming you'll be cloaking?

I've been watching a cloaked ad run for months on a new domain (<1 month).

Is your account new or established? If established new domains will be fine, if a new account I'd go with an older domain. However not an expired domain as they show as dropped. If you're in a rush, pick one up that's a few months old for $20.

That said, if you're running whitehat, a new domain will be fine either way.

Not Sure about cloacking - I just want to send traffic to the lander.

FB ad - click to website -> tracking link -> Lander ( one I want the domain for)

You can say my account is established, have several pages and spent some money on ads... not on affiliate offer tho.

where can i pick one domain -? flip sites?

I am planning white hat doing this:

FB ad ( via a fan page warmed up with a PPE campaign) , then move Ads to click to website to a blog ( landers ) without affiliate links, to warm up that site, then after a week introduce the links slowly.

Thanks!

You're running whitehat, so you'll be fine with a new domain.

The only reason to have an older domain is if you're dancing with Facebook (blackhat), then when you get a manual review due to content inevitability being flagged you'll have a little more authority. It's certainly not a strong factor - but every little helps when you're running blackhat -it's always a good idea to build some content/authority around the sites your running traffic to.

FYI You can pickup a cheap aged domain here https://auctions.godaddy.com

As bobliu mentioned you'd better to buy a new domain if you are running whitehat campaings.

What tracking do you use, as mentioned it in your flow?

Thanks guys!

Tracking is CPVLabs .. started to hate it but since it is a single payment rather than monthly is within my bugdet.. but honestly thinking of just shell out a yearly subscription on a SaaS tracker that has a lower learning curve.

Any advice?

@Alexom - I see you have Adsbridge on your sig.. any feedback?

What about Voluum as everyone here seems to prefer?

Hey, @wealthspark, how are you?

Yup, you are right, sorry I didn't introduce myself, you can check in my profile, that I represent AdsBridge here, so I'll try to be objective.

If you are looking for SaaS tracking solution, there are 2 leaders on the market, it's definetely Voluum and AdsBridge. The basic difference is in the price and free-trial availability.
There is also great self-hosted trackers, like FunnelFlux and Thrive.

If you run facebook campaigns, you probably know, that Facebook doesn’t have macros and can’t substitute any data in the tracker’s URL. That’s why everything you want to redirect from Facebook to the tracker must be put manually in the URL.
So, here is a case made by one of our users http://news.adsbridge.com/fb-advertising/

Btw, here is our thread http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...ewbie-Discount! where you can find some reviews and I our STM discount
