How can I manually spy FB ads from other demographics than myself?

Hey everyone,

What I mean is - how can I manually spy on Facebook from different demographics then myself - and what I mean by spying is just scrolling through facebook.

IE. Say I want to find a product that sells to women ages 18-35 (I'm a man 20-28) - is there an easy way to do this?

May be a really stupid easy answer

You can try using a Facebook ad spy tool? Or perhaps create a Facebook account with the demographic you want to see ads for, but the account will need some activity before seeing news feed ads.

You need to use the account like a real person for a while first, as Facebook is intelligent about not delivering ads to new users it does not yet know much about, and who haven't been assessed as legitimate users.

It is very hard to spy on facebook because it is very good at segmenting people. For example, ads using the same targeting might get delivered to different people based on the type of ads. For example they store data of how many times you install apps, click on ads, engage with pictures, watch videos. If you're just liking pictures they might not show you ads that are optimized for app installs since the profile of "image likers" doesn't match the profile of people who install apps. Same for other objectives.

Anyway your best chance is trying to mimic the behavior of your interested demo as well as you can and you'll probably see some interesting ads and get some inspiration.
