It took a lot of time to set up my website, landing page and tracking. Opened a new AdWords account and a day after my two ads were approve
I got suspended with the message:
"Your account is suspended - We've identified suspicious behavior in the payment activity of this or your other AdWords accounts. To help prevent any unauthorized activity, we suspended your AdWords accounts. "
When I try to call support I get a recorded message that they can't help me and the only way is through email. I got this email after talking to someone that said he
can't help and told me I should fill a form:
Dear Advertiser,
We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with your AdWords account.
"We’d like to let you know that your account is currently under review and we’re prioritizing this over other issues you may have written to us about. Our Specialists already know about this issue, and an investigation is underway. We periodically review accounts for security purposes and to verify billing information. We'll send you an update after the investigation is complete, typically within three business days."
Really frustrating. I have basically the same landing page and ads as my competitors have. Does anyone have any insight?
Well do they usually suspend accounts like that? 3 business days is a lot.
i know this sounds obvious, but make sure your not violating any of their ad policies, and then contact a rep at google, theyre pretty responsive.
I can't speak to a rep. When I do they say they can't help me and the only thing they can do is to refer me to support. When I do that I get a recorded message that says they can't help and only messaging in email is available. Now I got this email:
"Thanks for your continued patience during this process. Our specialists have re-reviewed the account and confirmed that it is in violation of our AdWords policies. Since this decision is final, the account will not be reinstated. Please avoid creating additional AdWords accounts, as they will be subjected to the same suspension.
Our support team will not be able to give you any more specifics on the suspension.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation."
I really don't understand. We are a legitimate company with a legitimate website. Why are they so vague? now I need to create another website
and add another account and for what? it's crazy that they say nothing.
Hey basedaffiliate,
I had the same problem, and I have noticed quite a bit of people in Billing section of Google Advertiser Community do. First, I am curios was your billing method suspicious in any way? Looking back, I guess for me, it was. I attached a Payoneer card which was pre-paid and through that service I had a USD receiving account in a different country than where I am located. So, I think that things like this or any other suspicious payment methods get picked up by a filter as high-risk and you get automatic suspension. It is inconvenient, but I understand why Google does this.
The solution to problem should be just to explain the situation through suspension appeal form. However, the problem arises with the so called "specialist review process". I think they are clearly not investigating the process at all or simply do not care. I think the reasons are either that it would take too much time to confirm the legitimacy of credit card, like back-and-forth conversation with you or just the risk to reward ratio makes it not worth it for Google. Our spends are probably too insignificant to encourage them to look deeper into issue. Especially, since I think the majority of accounts the filter catches are real frauds using stolen credit cards etc.
For suspension appeal you can just submit form with a info so you really cannot convince them that your account is legit. In general Adwords e-mail support chat or Google help forums, they say their help is limited and they do not have access to billing details or suspensions.
Also, I tried creating another account which soon got suspended for "being linked to account that has suspicious payment behavior".
So, for me, contacting support has brought no results at all. After I have sent multiple appeal requests, talked with Google rep, wrote in Adwords official forum etc there has been no sign of getting my account back.
What I am going to try is incorporating and trying to open account as a business. Probably you should too try some other ways of creating accounts, because it seems like the changes of getting your account back is slim to none ( if you are not huge spender in their platform ).
Just me experiences and thoughts with similar situation.
This is just a billing issue and no policy whatosever.
Blacky the only thing I can thing of is that my bank account was transferred to a different location but my Business card work just fine. I'm baffled as I don't know what happened.
Why do you think the additional account was blocked? have you used the same domain name? (you think I can open an account and add the same domain btw? it would be a hassle to change that since it's a premium domain).
domainweb, how do you know for certain?
If you're looking for an actual fb rep to email, heres how to find them... http://lmgtfy.com/?q=%22sales.fb.com%22
johnaff, we are talking about google and I've spoken to reps and there's nothing they could do.
Can I use the domain that I used in this account again?
Hey,
In my opinion, the bank account location transfer could have made you get caught in the "suspicious payment activity" filter ( especially if it was again, away from your own country ).
Why the additional account was blocked? Because Google clearly states in the messages "Since this decision is final, the account will not be reinstated. Please avoid creating additional AdWords accounts, as they will be subjected to the same suspension." Also, to keep in mind, the additional account I tried to create was in so called "white-hat" way. Same IP, my name etc. I was just trying to understand whether Google would let me create additional account after incident. I did not even use the same domain, campaigns etc. I did not even ran a active campaign with additional account, but still got suspended after a 5 days or so for reasons mentioned above.
So, no domain change etc will probably not help you, because reason was suspicious payment activity which probably makes you overall ( and all your future accounts ) a suspicious in Google eyes.
I think or at least what I did, you should start coming up with alternative solutions to either get your account back or create a new one. A book called "Problem Solving 101: A Simple Book for Smart People" helped me to come up with alternative solutions.
Hopefully it helps you a bit!
,
Basically, everything is tainted now.
You can still open a new account, but EVERYTHING needs to be fresh, that means Ip. PC. Card. Billing address, but also content, lander ip, domain name.
Everything.
That should work if you are running whitehat.
did you manage to get your account back?
