Pops: Which Vertical Is The Best?

For Mobile Pops, which Verticals are the best and most profitable to run on it?

- App Installs
- PIN Submits
- Sweepstakes

I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on this~

Antivir pins

Antivirus requires more testing budget. Sweeps seem to run quite hot atm. I'd personally stay away from app installs atm.

Anti virus download & pin submit. Also sweeps.

Due to the nature of POPs, the best is to start with any kind of offer with a low payout. You need plenty of conversions to optimize pops properly and you need to get them coming in as fast as possible.

But other than that, read this : http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...5-ANY-VERTICAL

Apps, sweeps SOIs, sweeps pins, AV pins.

Adding to what's already been mentioned:

Gambling, vid subscriptions, biz op, binary options. The last 2 will take a lot more money to test and optimize due to the high payouts.

Basically, pop traffic is broad traffic, so offers that will do well are ones that have broad appeal.

Financial offers are good for pop traffic.
Unfortunately, many marketers make a mistake stopping tests before the offer has received enough traffic for conversion.
It's "hard to start", but very profitable vertical for long term campaigns.

Sweeps, pins, gambling, sports betting, video on demand, desktop download offers and binary on CPL can make you very nice money on pop traffic!

I don't see how you guys get AV to work on pops. I'm sending traffic directly to offers (scary looking landers) and it's not converting. Are you sending them to a pre-lander? Targeting specific websites? Thanks!

Well send to a pre lander first. Not targeting specific website, however I blacklist the non working ones. Target specific os, device type, etc.

PINs and sweepstakes

As far as pop is untargeted traffic, better to use offers for a wide audience
For example to target on android os and show them "win iphone'' sweep or subscription

Sweepstakes, pin submit, streaming, App installs.
for all of these categories, you must use a prelanders, it's unworking without.

I recommend using some ad spy tools like Adplexity to get information about what work and what not.

good luck!

Be careful with assumptions like this , just because Android users do not have an iPhone right now does not mean they want one / convert better on a "win iphone sweepstake"

Got an iPhone 6S sweeps campaign right now where iOS is far outperforming Android , I'd recommend to always go broad and then narrow down based on real data

,

on pops, casino can also work and is maybe not so overrun , but it'll be very difficult to get a good quality , you'll likely be kicked off the offer after a couple hundred revenue.

quite a few of the above do well like the gambling/binary, pin submits, sweeps, subscription campaigns etc but many factors come in to play like how much data you have collected before you decide to prematurely optimize or "give up" on the offer...
