Overcoming Language Barrier With Creatives

Hi guys, my name is Michael, and I am i the US and a newbie at AM. I'm just getting started with my first few campaigns. I have been reading that it is advisable to start with tier 3 countries due to less competition and so forth. This makes a great deal of sense to me in the abstract; but when trying to take action and get these things running, I am finding that the reality is somewhat more difficult. For example, I am wanting to run some pin submit offers for mobile in Asia and Latin American countries.

My question is how do I go about creating LPs and optimizing landers when I can't even read what they say? If I look at other's landers as examples or benchmarks, how do I optimize when I can't read the copy? Finally, if I get these things translated, and I want to edit and make changes to the copy, many languages utilize characters that do not exist on an English keyboard. How to overcome that?

Thanks in advance for your kind words of advice.

Odesk is your friend, or fiverr, there are people who love small jobs like these and its only gonna cost you a few bucks. Whatever you can retype or copy/paste, just use google translate to get an idea about the copy and then find a local who will do proper grammar for you. This is also a perfect example of why networking is important - connect with people from all around the world, you can help them with english and they can help you with their native language.

You can also use OneHourTranslations.com to translate. They are professional and very popular.

Great suggestions . But what if we create campaign in english and launch them in Tier 3 countries were it is spoken. For exemple, if I'm not going wrong in countries like South Africa, Papua New Guinea and Vietnam english is widely spoken. Please correct me if I'm wrong

You can do that, I've had success running english landers in India. However, I've had better results running non english in tier 3 countries.

It can work. I have seen success in India for example with English creatives. I guess it depends on the offer as well as the demographic.

You can also split test and see if native language works better than English. Although I think that, usually, native language will out perform English.

Yes of course native language is always better but in my opinion it can be a good way to make it work even if success is smaller

Properly translated copy will almost always beat English, but on the other hand, poor translation can actually perform worse than English. Then there are GEOs where english and native language work pretty much the same, especially with simple copy. This is one of the factors than needs to be split tested.

I agree with Matuloo, proper translated will always beat. It depends a lot on a budget you have for translation etc.

tip i would use system with translator and spell checker so via
some odesk, or fiverr .. find translator (expensier usually per 250 words) + spell checker (cheaper) than you do double check
and always when give instro to translator dont just drop him text but explain what you want to achieve with that copy
