Question on traffic bidding (5)

Question on traffic bidding

In go2mobi we have auto-bidding, and that's really awesome
However, I found that for one of my campaigns, the CPM is really high, probably because my targetting focused on expensive traffic (thanks to caurmen for clarifying for me)

My question today is:

- how to set it manually?
- the mechanics of the whole "bidding system" and how they actually work?
- Example: How do you know how much to bid for each scenario?
- Example: how much maximum, how much minimum bid?

Thank you all for your help!

Update: I just heard that there's no way to know manual bidding, we just gotta auto bid and push the numbers lower...

How true is this?

Super confused with bidding!

You need to select the standard bid type...

You can start with a low bid ($.01) and gradually increase it by $.05 increments until you get traffic. I think this approach would work best if you have limited funds.

Where you have to keep in mind that a low bid will give you shit traffic, the traffic nobody wants.

Work with staggered bids

I like Gordon’s approach. 😀

In my experience, display traffic is not like pop traffic, where if you bid too low you’ll get a lot of junk traffic.

I started by using autobid as well. But sometime ago I started experimenting with low bids. Like REALLY low bids in the 0.05-0.10 range. And found that I still got enough conversions to test my creatives - at WAY cheaper costs compared to using autobid.

A good approach would be to bid low, see how much traffic you get, then gradually increase the bid until you feel you’re getting enough traffic to test stuff. Then test your stuff for cheap until you reach green, and THEN increase your bid to get more traffic.

You can do this repeatedly, I.e. test more banners/landers/offers, get green, increase bid to get more traffic; test more offers/banners/landers to increase ROI further, increase the bid further to get more traffic...and so on.

That way you can test for as cheaply as possible, and with more testing and improvement of your funnel, you can afford to bid increasingly higher for more traffic volume.
