Back from AWE 2016 Berlin :)

Hello everyone,

the Berlin event was a blast, certainly the best and biggest affiliate conference I have ever been to! Awesome speeches, many cool people to talk to and the city itself really touched my heart too - especially the food, fuck was that amazing "Crispy Knucle" for the winner!

I didn't post much for the past few days so let me catch my breath again and go over the threads that might need my attention.

Let me thank the whole team for organizing the event, you guys have really set the bar high, looking forward for the next events - hopefully you can raise the bar even more.

There was a lot of affiliates and exhibitors who didn't even know STM was organizing this, so I expect a high number of new members for the next few days

Welcome back everyone!

From what I heard and saw on social media, it was really a blast this time. I already regret that I not attended. Going to be in Bangkok for sure!

At most trade shows, the speeches are lame.

The speeches at AWE were amazing. I pity the affiliates that weren't able to attend, as they will be at a massive disadvantage.

I am sure there are a few hundred affiliates who have started fundamentally changing the way they run their operations and campaigns as soon as they got back home.

I certainly have!

Sounds like Berlin was really awesome! I hope all of you guys enjoyed it! I must attend some time.

By the way, about this TES... would it be weird for someone who doesn't do adult to attend?
Sure I buy traffic from some of the networks which will attend but otherwise it looks like a big porn casting event.

Confrence was awesome, speeches were top notch. Just so you get you an idea, let's say your'e a soccer player and you attended a training camp where Mourinho and Alex Ferguson are the coaches and you train with Messy and Ronaldo. Drew Whitman, Ryan Holiday, Caurman and the others all provided gold information.I didn't like Berlin to be honest, please consider Italy for the next one in Europe (:

That seems to be what most say: Berlin, as a city, not so interesting/impressive/attractive.

My (totally unbiased) vote would go to Vienna

We were unable to get into any club in Berlin while wearing blazers and ties on Sunday night.
It's like the opposite of face control... if you don't look slightly homeless/don't have pink hair you're out of luck

We walked 30 mins or so towards an afternoon meetup and at one point one guy in our group was like "Finally a group of people that don't look homeless"... We went past them... And they were speaking French.

I just felt like the people there were extremly rude, even the service providers, I almost got into a fight with a waiter who chased me outside the resturant after I left cause he treated me and my friend like shit

Wasn't so bad for me but service was certainly below average in most restaurants and cafes. :P
