Using a Viral Competition to Build a List to Sell Product (Dog Training Course)

Hi Everyone,
I'm starting a new test and thought I'd show some of the details here.

Product
An Dog Training Course where I get revshare commission

Aim

[1] Test to see if using a competition to generate interest before trying to sell people on the product will make more than just sending people directly to the product sales page straight away.

[2] Make a Profit (of course)

[3] Develop a List which I can sell other dog related items to.

Traffic Sources

[1] Google Search
[2] Google Display

Sales Processes Being Tested

There will be 2 sales processes being tested (to see which makes the best profit with different traffic sources)

[1] Sending people directly to the Dog Training Course Sales Page

[2] Send People to a Competition Page where they can win the Dog Training Course
- People Join the Competition to win the Dog Training Course
- They tell their friends about the competition (the more friends they tell the better their chances of winning the competition)
- TBD (still trying to figure out how to do this step) - they get sent to pages where I can coreg the leads
- After entering the competition they are given a free report (to build more trust).

- Winner is Drawn
- Losers are told that they did not win but for taking part in the competition they get access to a limited time only special - they can get trial access to the dog traiing course for only $x

Milestones

[1] Sales Process Developed and Ready for Review - Sunday 24th July

[2] Start Sending Traffic - Wednesday 27th July

[3] Compeition Finished and have results - Wednesday 3rd August

Questions I'm Looking For Help On
