Hi guys! Paul here from Mobile Ad Monitor.

Hi Paul,

Just wondering, Does copy paste other affialate landing pages, and running them in the same traffic sources and similar, could have nice results or it is disaster idea?

What do you think?

Hey Koutrouss, great question.

From my experience it can sometimes work and isn't a bad idea. It's almost always worth testing. Here are a few situations you might encounter.

1. Your ripped page may be profitable right off the bat if the other affiliate had a big profit margin. If you're better at optimizing than the other affiliate then sometimes you can beat them out.
2. The page might be close to break-even or only somewhat negative ROI. In this case it's worthwhile to experiment with different offers that might work. It's hard for one affiliate to split test everything so you just need to constantly pivot until you find something that works.
3. It just plainly doesn't work. This will happen if the other affiliate is either only promoting it on certain placements of the traffic source and buying out all the inventory, if the affiliate has a better deal on the affiliate offer (e.g higher payout) or if they themselves aren't even profitable with the campaign.

I guess to summarize it's always a good idea to through a landing page up on the same traffic source and test if you can. You can't assume someone else has tested everything or is even testing the basics.
