Same offer on three networks - different traffic restrictions? (4)

Same offer on three networks - different traffic restrictions?

Hey guys - I'm relatively new, so haven't come across this before.

I've seen an offer I like to run across several networks. Now, for example, on 2 out of 3 networks, payout is the same and adult traffic is restricted. On another, payout is 50% higher, and adult traffic is apparently permitted. I've admittedly been running on the higher payout adult permitted network mostly.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? I've confirmed with each network that these restrictions are correct for both the one with adult and without...

Any other reason veterans can see why this would happen?

Thanks!

Regarding payouts, just split-test every one of them and see what brings in the most profit, the actual payout does not mean anything since the conversion rate can vary a lot.

Regarding allowing adult, either the advertiser has just allowed one network to run adult to it (which would be odd) , it is a mistake , or the affiliate network interprets the terms a bit more "openly" haha

It happens often that one network requires strict landing page approval for an offer , while another one just tells you go ahead and run whatever works for you. I could imagine this is a similar case with the adult traffic here.

And no matter if it is allowed or not, chances are if it converts someone is going to run it. If you do, consider going with the network that has given you the "go ahead" , since they would have to take the blame in case the advertiser complains, not you.

I appreciate the quick reply! Thank you.

All three networks are "reputable" so to speak here on STM. I just thought it was interesting.

I've heard that the same offer on diff networks can convert differently - what is the scientific reasoning for this?

And I agree why not run on the one that allows the traffic if it converts better. I've also seen so far networks where the AM says "oh its fine" even though on the offer page it will say restricted for other types of things on landers - I assume you've seen this as well?

Different loading times , different scrubbing possibly on the network or advertiser side , other unknown factors ..

The general go-to is look away and profit , most networks won't say no to profits even if they know you're bending the rules a bit. Of course it can go badly for you or the network, it is the "cost of doing business".

A lot of what we're doing is dealing with risk , and trying to minimize it while still being profitable. Or accepting higher risk for a higher ROI.

There's a joke to use the list of restrictions as a to-do list for the best converting lander Not saying you should! There are some no-gos, like for example using carrier callouts on pin submit offers, while other restrictions are not so strict. For example if it says no adult , a lot of pops traffic is from adult sites , it still gets sent in big volumes and I have not heard of anyone not getting paid for it.

I assume you are running smaller volumes so it should not be a big concern for you yet.
