Probably one the the most influential people of our time. A BRILLIANT marketer imo RIP
sad..when i read the headline i thought you were joking.....what he achieved with apple in the last few years was simply impressive...he definitely was one of the most influential marketers/visionaries in the technology industry...R.I.P.!
PS: I wish it was Mark Zuckerberg :-)
I was also shocked when I heard it on the news! Over the past few years, my entire family has switched from PC to Apple. Aside from my MacBook, we have 2 iPads and 2 Macs in the house (a bit much since I'm the only one who works on the internet). I hope Apple continue to follows the vision Jobs always had for them. He will never be forgotten and always thought of fondly.
iSad
holy shit. wow, to me he'll go down as one of the most inspiring and gifted people in technology ever.
damn I knew his death would be news when it came but i never expected it to be like this. RIP
It's pretty crazy news...hopefully the affs have a bit of respect and dont use this as another way to profit...
hmmm....ok I have to say I was never a fan.....yes he did good things for apple.....but I always felt he was an egotistical ass.....
I guess if you worked FOR him, ... he would have been a fucking nightmare as a boss.
But, as the man who brought Apple back from the dead, his vision and determination is the stuff of legends!
I suspect a few decades will pass before we see another CEO with such amazing talent.
Sad day.....
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

if not for his visions, i wonder if computers as we know them would be as prominent in our lives as they are today.
he was one of the first to produce an affordable computer an average citizen could afford for their home, and also made them appealing so people would actually want one
Yeah it's certainly not just about using the apple product, as some already mentioned, this guy's innovations pushed the world in certain directions, caused other people to react and change, got other people to innovate as a response.
This was one of the sponsored stories that poped up on my fb screen about an hour after the news broke:

Someone looked at the stats and ReadersDigest gained 5000 likes in an hour as a result of this ad.
Shame it was linked through to this page:

I guess the big brands can continue to get away with stuff like this, whilst we affiliates get banned for showing a bit of skin!
